What you mean I cheated? ain't you checked my Strava?
Proves that I'm the realest, not some whack hobby jogga.
Petite Asian speedster with endurance out the wazoo
Ain't enough to just run it, I'm bout to bike the course too
Be careful with your allegations, lest people say you shaming
If you don't find me attractive then your white a$$ must be flaming

Please be gentle. These type A IVY league grads are tightly wound, stressed, family pressures, etc. They oftentimes kill themselves for stupid things like this that backfire. Don't make it worse. She cheated. Got caught. Who cares. It doesn't even really matter. Let it go.
Gentle? Is this your first time?

All of the sudden, people with a holier than thou attitude comes out of the woodwork and starts to slander her.
What is wrong with you people?
She seems nice and popular with the new york running scene. She probably has more medals than all of you combined.
This is all stemming from mob behaviour fueled with jealous AND SHE WAS TARGETED BECAUSE:
1. She is a Harvard Grad
2. She is ASIAN
3. A FEMALE
No one is perfect. Neither are ANY OF YOU
Unlike your daughter, we don't cheat in road racing.

Ummmmm.....The drugs........
great story!
Love buying her race pics to zoom on the watch.
But I have some pity for this woman. Not because she's attractive (meh) or anything else. It's easy to hate on her for being a Harvard grad etc.
Be careful, sleuths of letsrun, in reveling in the mistakes and faults of others. There are much worse people in the world. Many are even posting on this thread.

You are so right, I once said my HS 2 mile PR was 9:59 when it really is 10:00. I didn't even have the work ethic to go back and ride my bike eight laps for my Strava.

What are you even talking about? She wasn't targeted. She got caught cheating. That was her choice. And her cheating was crazy. The details of it are terrible. It shows a shocking level of dishonesty that continued after the race and even escalated - up until it was clear to her that there was no way out.
The fact that she has made her running races part of her job - something she writes about and publishes (she chose to make it part of here job) makes the cheating even more egregious. She very much wanted the public's attention reading about her running - well, it worked, she's got the public's attention.

Not sure why people are attacking the guy who caught the cheater? Personally I'm amazed at his work. Keep it up man! I think Boston or NYCM should put him on their payroll.
Give Derek the title of Integrity Manager.
He's worth his weight in gold.

If you're going to lie about podiumimg in some hobby jogger festival then what won't you lie about? Maybe she plagiarized her papers at Harvard and cheated on all her exams. Who knows? This is seriously unethical behavior and who knows how much this spills over to her "real" life.
She wrote an article for the huffington post in October 2015 where she made it seem like she had only started running a year ago, she wrote: "If you had asked me a year ago if I would do a running race of any distance - 5K, 10K, or even a half marathon - I would have immediately brushed it off and said, “No, I hate running.â€

http://www.citychallengerace.com/athletes.phpI'm not sure how to reconcile these two stories?

I have to agree. It doesn't matter who or what race you are but if you can cheat like this to the point of getting up on the podium knowing you didn't earn it right and robbed someone who actually ran an honest race, says a lot of her character. We're not perfect as humans but to put yourself out there for everyone to see including the company you work for, well I don't feel too sorry her.
Btw, I haven't read the whole thread.

That is ALWAYS appropriate.
Oh dear, just Googled her name, not quite at the Mike Rossi stage yet, where all ten links on page one are to do with his cheating, but she's getting close.
These people must just be narcissists who think everyone else is too stupid to catch them out, all the cheaters over the years on LetsRun seem to fit this profile, add other adjectives as you see fit.

The story is on Reddit now
They're a harsh lot over there at Reddit, unlike us snowflakes here on LRC.
One thing that differentiate her from other cheaters is she is a good runner. She ran 3 hours at last year's NYC. The time she tried to fake does fall in a big PR range for her. All this doesn't make any difference but I really wonder why she did it. The Whippets cut off time was only 1:24 for 1/2 marathon for the "elite" team. 3 hour marathoner could have done that w/o a problem. Is it because she was getting her trip and race comped? She had to save face since she is writing about the trip to FL? I don't know.

Aren't some of her previous times suspect too?, someone else running for her or something. Could be a whole can of worms opened here same as happened with most of the other serial cheaters exposed on LR.
Classic, what a sleuthing master stroke.Don't these cheating idiots realize technology has changed the world?

Her NYC time is legit. Even doubler said it was. I "knew" who she was because she passed me on the last mile of a 10 mile race last year. I am a old hobby jogger.
