She has the right mentality to become an elite athlete. Lie cheat and deny all accusations, until confronted with overwhelming proof and forced to admit wrongdoings.
She'll go far in this world

I'm sure she is willing to dope. She does put in decent mileage. That's really all there is to elite running doping and lots of miles

Pod. Not sure why people are attacking the guy who caught the cheater? Personally I'm amazed at his work. Keep it up man! I think Boston or NYCM should put him on their payroll.
Her attempt is, in a way, admirable. Her bike-fake was a very controlled effort with completely believable mile splits and even a slight fading near the end. Unfortunately her attention to detail lapsed in that she didn't turn the heart rate and cadence measurements off.

The bike part is the craziest. Presuming she flew from NYC, did she bring her own bike with her, borrow a bike or get a rental there to pull this off?
If she was a local it's still be ridiculous but slightly less nuts.

Didn't one of the other cheaters try this? Post a bunch of racist stuff to try and get the thread deleted. I think it was the kid who cheated on the indoor 800.

Because you have no life!!!! Get out of your Mom's basement every once in a while. You won't find a GF down there except for your mail order blow up doll. And the sun will do you some good as you are pastey.

Good point. And she also biked 13.1 miles at 7 minute pace. That is incredible slow and tough to accomplish.
13.1 miles at 7min pace on a bike to cover her lie? I like her hard work

She did not admit to committing a crime against the world of running. She said that she made a bad choice.
It's not a bad choice. It is deliberate deceit and fraud.
It looks like she hasn't blogged for a while. Was she still with Huffington? How did she get the trip paid for by taxpayers?

At 120 steps per minute cadence. Just picturing someone running 7:00 miles at 120spm is pretty comical. For comparison sake, her stride length would be equal to a runner doing 4:40 miles (more or less male WR pace) at 180pm, except she would be taking 2 steps for every 3 they do.
It WAS a bad choice- of ways to commit deceit and fraud. Next time she'll get it right!

It's on Ars now:

With a body like that and being Korean, she could get some plastic surgery to look different and go incognito (since plastic surgery is so popular in Korea).

She is blowing up all over the Internet.

You have such a dirty, dirty mouth. Are you all hot, now?
Is this appropriate?

What is wrong with you people?
She seems nice and popular with the new york running scene. She probably has more medals than all of you combined.
This is all stemming from mob behaviour fueled with jealous AND SHE WAS TARGETED BECAUSE:
1. She is a Harvard Grad
2. She is ASIAN
3. A FEMALE
No one is perfect. Neither are ANY OF YOU
Jane, we get it, we get it, you got caught and now you are lashing out.
Please take a moment to calm down and do what we ask all the liars, I mean cheaters, I mean those who were "swept away in the moment"--post your true Garmin file. It is my belief that you went into the race planning to cheat. There is no way to cut off an easy 1.5 miles on that course at the end,so it looks like you cut the course early on at around 4.5 miles through the park or at around 8.2 on the out and back.
http://a1amarathon.com/event-details/course-information/Where did you cut? In the spirit of closure, put all your cards on the table.
DashingDiva already let it be known that she is from Colorado, so she cannot possibly be Seo.
Please be gentle. These type A IVY league grads are tightly wound, stressed, family pressures, etc. They oftentimes kill themselves for stupid things like this that backfire. Don't make it worse. She cheated. Got caught. Who cares. It doesn't even really matter. Let it go.
