Worst running advise i ever received was from when i was in the Army. Because the army has the 2 mile PT test people think they know what they are talking about but we did the dumbest drills and stuff that got everyone injured. My platoon was doing all our stuff considerably too fast as well and all the stretches we did were all garbage. I left the military 4 years ago but ago but as of them the entire program needed revamped 100%.
"The two mile is more of a sprint than a endurance race" -Drill seargent, soldiers don't know how to run

I think this shows how bad the running program is in the army.
Paul Chelimo!
Less is more.
After cresting a hill, surge for 10 seconds to drop competitors.
Surging during a race results in a faster time than running an even pace.
Stretching prevents injury.
Surging after cresting a hill is great competitive advice! I, and many athletes I know, have had great success with this tactic.

10km 33:14
Another time he implied I should give up with was actually pretty good advice.
No woman has come close to running four 59's in a row, but four 33:14's has been done. The 59 looks a little better now, doesn't it?

I was in HS talking to Gerry Lindgren online (remember AIM?). He told me to run 200 mpw.
I remember talking to him too! That guy was a nutcase.
Some variation of talent doesn't exist and VO2 is meaningless.
Try to run at 180 strides per minute
"Barefoot running helps you prevent injury"
Change your stride
