HOW TALL IS HE? LOL
He looks 6'5" next to everyone else but I doubt he's that tall. -
Dude! Save the MF and the !!! for the mile or 800! I thought he'd just run 1:47 or 4:02. Nevermind that 2:24 is basically that good. I wonder which McGorty will be the best in 6 years or so. Sean's ascended higher on the ladder, but Brandon seems to have more talent.

I think he's 6'3" to 6'4"; def not 6'5"

Brandon seems to have a lot more upside than Sean when it comes to the 1500/mile (eventually at least). I think Brandon has a shot at the HSR in the 800 this year.
Like the other guy asked, how tall is Brandon? 6'3", maybe 6'4". Anyone know? -

I think I agree, but it's hard to say someone has more upside than their sibling when their sibling has literally run a 3:53. -

He ran great during XC for such a big kid. With that strength and his speed, he's a good bet to beat that 3:53. Brandon is not overtrained like so many other top HS athletes. On the other hand, anything beyond 3k is not in his future other than for experience/conditioning. Vids of him (from the side) running remind me of Jim Ryun in some ways, big, strong, great natural speed at 400. -
that's a fine effort. Curtis ran 2:24.8, Webb ran a faster 2:24 and Andrews ran 2:22.28. Not sure if this is up to date but McGorty looks to possibly be 2nd or 3rd all time:

Trackbot/Daniels is wrong for short distance events. Equivalents are 4:06.55/1:51.17. About right for #5 HS time.

A few answers....
Brandon is 6' 6.5" (I'm his coach so I just asked him).
I believe the time is US#6 All time
Robbie Andrews-2:22.28 (2009)
Ben Malone-2:23.56 (2012)
Alan Webb-2:23.68 (2001)
George Kersh-2:23.85 (1987)
Miles Irish-2:24.10 (1983)
Brandon McGorty-2:24.13 (2016)
I think he and Sean will both enjoy successful careers on the track, albeit at the different ends of the spectrum (Brandon has better speed in the 800/1000), while Sean is more gifted at the longer events. -
Sorry, that is 6'5.5"

If he ends up going to Stanford like his big bro he won't achieve much on the track, but will have a great network for a job.
-
nonsense. his brother ran 3:53 mile indoors last year. Brandon may even be better.

I think that is his point. Stanford seems to have a knack for damaging great talents to the point where they only produce a handful of times during college and are injured most of the rest of their collegiate career.
Regardless, they're clearly both real talents and I hope they both reach their potential.
