I wanted the pats to win, I won money, and I don't believe in conspiracies, but, I have to be honest, that game was very strange. I can 100% understand why people have been saying that the game was rigged - it did look that way. It also had a total bad vibe about it. I mean, my team was coming back so I was getting excited, but at the same time, it felt weird. When the Falcons were one field goal away from winning, what team wouldn't just stop there, try a couple of running plays to kill time and if they don't get a first down, then kick a field goal? I thought the game was for sure done, and then, they started going backwards. On that note, killing time, two times a Falcon players lies on the field (slightly hurt) until the clock is stopped? It's the super bowl, who doesn't get up and drag their butt off the field in clutch moments like that? They were both walking around after they got off the field. Just weird.
I also suddenly started thinking about Seattle throwing the ball instead of handing off to Lynch... which at the time was a mystery to me, but made me very happy. Two games where I can agree they should have lost.
I'm still very happy about the pats winning, and winning money, but, yeah, I get why people think it looked fixed. Was an odd one.
