You didn't even list a single score of names. We obviously can't see scores of them.

Was 8th in the Kenyan 800m Trials this past summer.

Alright 'lots' then, if you wish to be pedantic.
Bosse and Aman 1:42.
Berian, Motchebon, Kszcscot, Milkevics 1:43.
Loxom, Sowinski 1:44.
If this kid is 800m material (an early 1:46.5 would suggest so) he could be looking at 1:43/1:44 this year. As a freshman. That's a big deal.
Good lord that is incompetent.

Equals 1:45. Probably a 1:43 guy outdoors this year.

Old record was from 1999. Wow

That's a 25 year old Kenyan doper if I've ever seen one. We'll see how he does a few (clean) months from now.
haha says the slow guy!
I bet ma boi Donavan Brazier could beat him in a 600. Or anything really.
How old is he????

Well maybe, but Brazier had the potential to win an Olympic medal. He ran 1:43.5 in a championship. Kid was just unlucky.how things turned out in 2016 after the NCAA final.

Jesus Christ. I miss Kipketer.

Kenyans/Ethios==Russians. The times dont count
Freshman... By first year in a U.S. University only.
He is no Freshman by age - that is certain.
Have a look at all of UTEP's runners and judge for yourself.
What a joke and ripp-off to all the legitimate age Freshman training hard and doing their best only to have a continual flow of out of country overage Freshman landing on our shores. Seeking to better themselves for sure but at who's expense?
Some Europeans, Audtralian and Morman athletes are doing the same but not to the same extent as athletes from Africa.
Then there is UTEP... Last I looked the entire team is from Africa including the head coach. Is that what NCAA track and field is all about?
When will this madness stop?
Makes you wonder about all the undiscovered talent in Kenya. That's a fast 600m indoors especially given it was in a race with traffic. He had to pass a runner going into the last lap. Incredible run and runner.

To be honest, there is going to be a lot more undiscovered talent in the US. Other kids like Brazier and Murphy exist.
They love running in Kenya.

Does make one wonder... About the legitimacy of the classification of Freshman in the NCAA.

Actually you should be more concerned with Europeans who have already completed a university degree and still have full eligibility because they never competed for the University of East Anglia, but rather competed for their club Aldershot, Farnham, & District (AFD).
Sidebar - Martin McGrady was chairman of the boards around 1970. How would his 600 yard WR compare to the 600 meter list?
Thanks.
Not really, those Euopeans that have completed University in Europe either get on with their professional lives or the odd one runs pro.
What is going on with predominantly African runners coming to the U.S. Collegiate system is wrong. Very wrong to those of legitimate age in the NCAA sytem. Those that knowingly are doing this (athletes, coaches, corrupt country officials) are cheating, taking advantage, and stealing results from those that are legitimate.

Yes really. They do undergraduate degree in Europe, then masters degree in U.S. This trend is going to continue. UNM is chock full of them.
Sidebar - Ralph Doubell ran a WR indoor 1,000 yards in Albuquerque (1969).
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
