I like how the dog in that video is wagging it's tail while attacking the guy. I thought that was a sign a dog is friendly?
No! Tail wagging can mean nervousness which is a BAD sign. You have to be cognoscente as to how the tail is being wagged. It ca mean bad mojo is coming your way.
That’s illegal and unnecessary. Also makes you look like a pu$$y boy...

If a pit bull is locked onto an arm or another dog one of the best ways to get them to release is to grab both back legs and twist them around. This only works if you are not the one getting attached and are trying to help.
Once you have both back legs don't let go. I would swing the dog hard into a tree and try to kill them. If you let them go they will attack again.
Y’all honestly btches if you are that scared of a dog. You know how many times my pits have tried to greet people like any other dog would and they try to kick them like a moron. Most American pittbull terriers are very people oriented and friendly- they’re bread that way. Pit bull is a general terms for all kinds of bully breeds which all behave very differently but look somewhat alike. You sound ignorant as sh*t

felon?
and you're calling other people thugs based on the dogs they own?
You do realize that when your pit tries to 'greet' someone it's not the same as a typical dog. Your dog has the ability and history of tearing people to shreds on the regular, so it's only natural for people to react differently.
if i misread a border collie's intentions I might get nipped on the hand, but misread a pit bull and I might die.
people rightfully view your dog like a running chainsaw, capable of easily maiming someone in a moment of in attention.
when you walk your dog just imagine that people see you as dragging a running chainsaw down the street. that's why they cross the street, especially if you seem non-chalant about it. they don't want to get a chunk taken out of their leg.
If people are defensively kicking out at your dog as a regular occurrence, I think you and your dog probably have issues. I've never seen that happen. If ot was just one time I would assume it was some moran who deserved getting bit. But you make it sound like a common occurance. Really? people are regularly kicking out at your dog? Why is your dog even close enough to them to get kicked?
Stab them or shoot them. Ugly useless animals. ( Please Michael Vick, drown all these monsters.)
Then run over with truck. Stupid as$ dog owners. You should also get run over .
You want to try again there mate?
I have never in my life met a pit bull owner who didn't seem like he/she had a screw loose; there is something very wrong with a person who feels the need to own a pit bull in an urban environment. And if you let a pit bull run around unleashed? You're an anti-social freak who doesn't belong in civil society, period.
You lost all credibility when you claimed to have run away. No matter what kind of shape you're in you're not going to outrun a dog.
I firmly believe pitbulls should not pets. Owners always claim their pets are docile and calm, but those animals can inflict some serious damage if they are not. Best of luck, OP.
Totally agree. Pit bulls are dangerous, particularly against other dogs, the OP is rightfully concerned. The worst part is in some very nice areas, well meaning people are "rescuing" troubled pit bulls and think if they love them enough the dog will be ok, and its not inherently aggressive....well a few hundred years of breeding has led these dogs to be aggressive particularly with other dogs, and its not a matter of "loving it enough"...
My advice to the OP is to train your dog to 1. ignore other dogs. 2. jump into your arms or onto your shoulders on command. (I know that sounds crazy) but for the protection of your dog its the best option. If you deploy mace it will affect your dog and make it harder for you and your dog to escape. The best is to train your dog to jump into your arms, then use mace if you need to at that point. But your dog is more at risk than you...People train dogs who do Frisbee competitions this all the time, and 40 pounds is well within reason, a lot of BC's or Australian shepherds are this size.
Anyway, I feel your pain. I hate these fighting breeds and the stupid people who know nothing about dog training thinking they can "fix" them...
