Sort of. He thought that if he did too much it would look like he was the one meddling. And he thought Hillary would win anyway, so might as well take a nap.
I guess Romney was right afterall.
It is more sad than funny to see Trumpers declaring victory over today's Mueller announcement. Shows a level of ignorance that is hard to fathom. As has already been pointed out by several, today's indictments don't mean Trump or anyone else isn't also eventually going to be charged with something. With Gates recently turning and Manafort given new charges, how in the world can you be so confident that Trump is innocent? Seems weird. His behavior this whole time certainly says otherwise. Nothing that Rosenstein said today should give comfort to Trump or his supporters.
In any event, the Fat Lady hasn't even arrived at the venue yet, so don't get ahead of yourselves here.
Now, you could decide to PREDICT (which is what I am doing, yet on the other side of this) that Trump will not be found guilty of anything, but today's events prove nothing with regard to Trump EXCEPT that Mueller has pretty efficiently and effectively gathered information since July when he started...this is NOT good news for Trump and associates.
Also, I have spelled this out before, but I am not guaranteeing that Trump will be found guilty of collusion. In fact, I have said several times now that collusion (conspiracy) would be the hardest charge to prove. While I think it extremely likely that he and/or his campaign colluded, it would be extremely ironic if Trump actually didn't do that and just could not accept that there are those out there who believe he won only due to illegal help from Russians...that people didn't love him so much that they just fell over themselves to go vote for him. He has gotten himself in a heap of trouble by firing Comey and then behaving the way he has since. I will also say that after today's indictments that it is MORE LIKELY Trump will be charged with conspiracy than it was before these indictments.
What you will see now is that reporters will talk about how that now this proves that not only did Russia interfere but that they wanted Trump to win and Hillary to lose. They will point out that we have proof of Russians conspiring with "unwitting" members of the Trump campaign and we have a timeline (June 2016 is ground zero). They will then talk about how all that needs to happen now is that there needs to be a connection made between the witting and the unwitting and that many of them believe Mueller likely is well on his way down that path. They will call it "overlap" or something like that.
Now, I still believe that money laundering and obstruction of justice are the mostly likely charges, but conspiracy is seeming more and more likely. Perjury will happen too one Trump talks to Mueller.
Trumpers, do no feel so confident for...
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.

Great if you are a conservative. Not so good if you are a liberal.
Um, wrong. There is now ironclad proof, not that there wasn't before, that Russians seriously interfered/meddled illegally in our electoral process. And there is no way in hell Putin was not aiding this effort, if not orchestrating it. And remember what Trump said when he was asked about Russian interference in our election? "Fake news." And our intel agency leaders are "political hacks" (i.e., don't believe them). And Putin "said he didn't do it (interfere)....and I believe him."
He took the side of Putin over his own intelligence agencies. And was wrong. Yeah, great day for Trump.

Just reading through the last few pages (after the Mueller indictments against the Russians). Trumpers on here seem to think that this is the end of the story. Lots of glee. etc.
I have only one question:
Are you Trumpers really that stupid?
Seriously?
You actually think that Mueller is now winding things up rather than just getting started? Do you have any idea at all who you are dealing with here?
Sorry Jim. It's over.
Onnnly getting started-
"And yet Friday’s indictments cover just one part of the multiheaded Russian operation. They detail the Russians’ use of social media platforms to shape preferences and to engineer political rallies. A separate F.B.I. team is investigating Russian agents for hacking the Democratic National Committee during the election. Mr. Mueller is reportedly keenly interested in Russian agents’ offering “dirt” on Mrs. Clinton to campaign associates of Mr. Trump. And then there’s still the issue of Russian collaboration with WikiLeaks. As with his previous indictments, Mr. Mueller kept the rest of his hand closely guarded."

He called it a hoax. He has been proven wrong. He knew it was true anyway, because he very likely knew about it.
Mueller is coming.

According to the Trump supporters Russia must really feel stupid. Their whole campaign to work with Wikipedia to steal and publish emails, their whole system of identify fraud and flooding purple states and vulnerable groups with lies designed to get their man Trump elected all was meaningless.
It had no effect on the presidential campaign. Boy must Russia feel stupid. What losers!
By the way how are the Russian sanctions affecting them. Oh that's right, their man decided to defy our constitution to help them out and not employ sanctions.
That's just a coincidence. It doesn't mean anything either.

Mueller has now clearly shown that there was a crime. This makes any obstruction of justice charge against Trump even more likely to stick and more likely to have even greater consequences. Mueller knows what he is doing, and Trump is a buffoon.
Trump said this whole Russia story was a hoax, made up by Democrats as an excuse for losing an election. Many of the Trumpers here have said the same thing. All this does today (yesterday now) is it makes all of them and Trump look like fools. Trump though is not a fool in this case (overall he is a fool). In this case he was trying to deflect and get others to also believe that this was all a hoax. He's guilty as sin, and he knows it.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
Poor little rich girl - can anyone feel more humiliated than Melanie Trump. She seems so terribly miserable.
Trump does a number on those who trust him.
I guess anyone dumb enough not to see Trump for what he truly is, deserves contempt. It's like petting a snake and getting bit, because you didn't really notice it was a snake.
The man Trump is should be obvious to anyone.
Mueller is playing chess, trump is playing checkers. You are right he is more vulnerable to obstruction now that it has been established crimes were committed.

I feel a little sorry for Melania, and she is miserable for sure, but she married him...he was a known womanizer before she married him, and she should have dated him long enough to understand he was an assho!e. Your petting a snake analogy is spot on.

^fixed that for you
Such an idiot. Grasping at straws. You know damn well you’ve been proven wrong AGAIN. You look foolish.
I just love how you eat up everything you’re told. Like a damn child. My coworkers and I were laughing at the new “13 Russians” boogeyman yesterday. Mueller is embarrassing himself, the FBI, and the country with this ridiculousness.
To recap, as it seems clear most on the board and in this country now understand...
Mueller isn’t coming (as I’ve been saying since day 1).
The clown is indeed Flagpole (as I’ve been saying since day 1).
Based on your predictable non-response period yesterday (after the devastating news that you’ve again Flagpoled), only to regroup and triple down on your silly hopes..... Flagpole WILL BLOW HIS BRAINS OUT OVER POTUS45, DONALD J TRUMP!!!
The day is getting closer and closer.
Tick, tick idiot douchebag.
Hahahahaha! Such an insufferable person. Just the worst of the worst. Cannot admit his idiocy, and continues to dig himself deeper.
Are you that much in your delusional bubble? You need to get out more. People were mocking the indictments yesterday. It’s a joke. It’s clearly a butthurt witch hunt. No one cares. Internet memes? Seriously?
They have a handful of indictments for guys doing bad things pre-2014, and now have indicted 13 Russians for making memes. It’s hilarious. This is going to be a joke for years to come. Even Rojo, who is not a Trump fan, even started a thread about how embarrassing it is.
As if it really needs to be said at this point...
Mueller isn’t coming.
The clown is Flagpole.
Flagpole WILL BLOW HIS BRAINS OUT OVER POTUS45, DONALD J TRUMP!!!
Tick, tick moron.

Damn auto correct although they probably are manipulating Wikipedia.
November 8th, 2016 the day America lost the cold war that they didn't even know they were still in.
Give Vladimir and the Russians credit, they are the masters of propaganda and misinformation. No one does it better.
They perpetrated a con so great, that even when it's explained to the mark, the mark still doesn't believe it.
So explain again why Russia's PREFERRED candidate defies our constitution and won't employ sanctions against Russia.
Someone tell me why!
Gratitude?

I suppose you are right. Russia would never engage in propaganda designed to select our president and there are not warrants out for the arrest of Russian nationalists.
And tell me why trump defied our constitution and would not employ sanctions against russia. I bet you know the answer, right?
