I guess you are right and all these people who have worked for and know Trump well are wrong? Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Reince Priebus, the former chief of staff, called Trump an “idiot.” (So did the media mogul Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox News, though he used an obscenity first.) Trump’s chief economic adviser, Gary Cohn, compares his boss’s intelligence to excrement. The national security adviser, H. R. McMaster, thinks he’s a “dope.” It has already been reported that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a “moron,” which he has pointedly refused to deny.

To all those who believe that Trump is such a smart man and who really don't notice any difference between Obama and Trump in their grasp of complex issues and their ability to articulate, answer me one question:
Why do so many of Trump's hand picked people, who support him and work closely with him, say that he is an idiot?
Because they the opposition eats it up. Many people even liberals have spoken highly of him when they meet him in person and the fake news media hides it. Here are some unfiltered opinions of people who work with him on an online community that is otherwise very hostile towards the administration:
