Dude. Man oh man, you really don't know enough to be commenting on this. I really am not in the mood to have to constantly educate you Trumpers, but I will give you a try.
1) First of all, Russia isn't being charged with sending "e-mails". They were involved in an influence campaign that centered around the use of Social Media. An effective campaign such as that doesn't necessarily have to make someone switch from voting for Hillary to Trump, but it can help keep some voters at home while emboldening other voters. In the early parts of the campaign, I saw so many fake things posted on social media that were almost all in favor of Trump and against Hillary. Initially I pointed out these fake posts (all easily verifiable) to those who posted, but there were just too many...I had to give up. And OF COURSE advertising works...that's why companies, politicians, etc. do it, and spend an uncountable amount of money on it. Many of these lies about Hillary and Obama and Black Lives Matter and guns control and Muslims and then positive lies about Trump got great traction. Here in Central Ohio, the biggest AM radio station announced that President Obama had arranged to have his kids' grandmother receive $160,000 a year for life from taxpayer money. They talked about it, said that was typical of Obama, and callers called in and said crap about Democrats and how they were going to vote for Trump as a protest. I contacted the radio station and let them know that they had been duped by Russian fake news, something that had already been debunked. The host of the show then sent me an e-mail telling me he had integrity and that this came from a reliable source and that he didn't have time to check all the sources (um...then you can report it as fact; which I told him). This was just one topic on one radio station. The amount of social media fake news posts and memes were absolutely insane, at least here in Ohio, one of the target states because we are a swing state. Also, IF Russia had done an e-mail campaign, you likely wouldn't have gotten one at your Big 3 job because IT would have weeded out spam e-mail. I'm not sure overall general knowledge is your thing.
2) So, you believe you know more than our intelligence agencies? They declared without question that Russia, from direction of Putin himself, interfered in our election with a clear preference to have Trump elected and Hillary defeated. This is not made up. This is not partisan info. They haven't wavered or wondered if it were true...they have all said it for sure happened and that Putin was behind it all without question.
3) I would like to know what I have lied about. I've never said anything about e-mails, so you will have to mention something else.
4) The social media campaign was extremely strategic, so if you don't live in Ohio, FL, PA, MI, or WI, you likely didn't see much of it.
Now, getting past your ignorance on this issue, ask yourself why there are at least 20 people attached to the Trump campaign or administration that have significant ties to Russia (not France, not Canada, not Indonesia)? Why have some already been either charged or admitted to lying about Russia or charged with financial crimes associated with Russia? Why is Trump attacking Mueller and the FBI? If you were innocent of wrongdoing, wouldn't you be saying every day, "When this is over and I am found innocent, I will give the biggest 'I told you so' ever"? Trump doesn't do that. He attacks the investigators (ones that are Republican, appointed by Republicans and that Republicans and Democrats really endorsed early on until Mueller showed he is getting things done and getting closer to the White House and Trump). This is what Nixon did. He attacks the press except (like Nixon also did) for Fox News (and not even all of Fox News is on his side). Why do that? Because he is guilty and he is trying to seed doubt; doubt of the legitimacy of the press and the FBI and Mueller. It is all BS. Why did Trump say that if Mueller investigated his finances that that would be a "red line"? If he has nothing to hide, then he should be fine with it...it IS part of the investigative process in this case. Follow the money to see why someone might be inclined to accept help from a foreign enemy nation and then collude with them to defeat an opponent.
Is Hillary great? Nope. That's what allowed some of this to work. She was a very flawed candidate, though not nearly as bad as Donald Trump.
I assume you voted for Trump. How do you reconcile the lies he has told you?
Where are the taxes he said he would show you?
Why does he no longer say Mexico will pay for the wall?
Obamacare repeal was going to be "so easy" (technically that's not a lie, that was a falsehood)
Where are the lawsuits against the 19 women who have accused him of sexual misconduct?
Now, I have already put Polly Plumber in her (or his) place when she said I lied. I asked her to provide evidence, and she has not. I challenge you to do the same. What lies have I told? I will help you out...NONE.
You need to become more educated on this subject before you comment more.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
