How you M AGA boys doin' this fine mahning?
Tired of winning yet?
Two confederate states voting blue because of...you!
Because of the voting certification and the officials that have to sign off and the upcoming Christmas break, Jones won't be seated until at least Jan 3.
Congress basically has two weeks to reconcile their tax bills, get a House majority and have 50 of the current 52 Senators to vote yes on it, before being down to 51.
Corker is not voting yes. I don't see Jones voting yes when he replaces Luther Strange.
They need McCain, Flake, Collins and every last one of the other R Senators to agree.
And I repeat, the two bills have to be reconciled. The Senate is too snobby to vote on a House bill straight up and there are a number of House Republicans that want it their way.
Tick, tick, tick on 2017.

To be fair, Strange almost certainly would have won over Jones in the general election. That doesn't change the fact that Trump actively campaigned for Moore and would own it if he were an adult.
This should be the most painful aspect of a previously inconceivable loss. Moore wins if the Orange Turd and his un-showered drunk Uncle Steve stay at home.

Bruh,
Admittedly last night was a shocker. I thought we would be discussing a Dem “victory” meaning a loss by < 10 in a deep red state full of low IQ racists this AM but I was wrong and I admit that bruh. While I am glad I was wrong, I was nonetheless wrong and I own that bruh.
That being said, to all you LRC Dems out there please learn from your past mistakes and don’t celebrate in the final stretch before crossing the finish line bruhs. Don’t pull a Huddle bruhs. Don’t repeat the mistakes of Nov. 2016.
A dose of reality for all of you Bruhs this AM. Gallup tracking poll numbers for last week show Trump STILL sitting at 80%+ approval among mouth breathing GOP voters. Link....
http://news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspxThink about that and let it sink in.
Even if Mueller finds something on Trump that is really, really bad...1) Trumpets will not believe it and dismiss it as fake news/witch hunt/unfair/Clinton did it too, etc., etc. 2) any impeachment process would need to start in the House...do you reallly think that’ll happen with these kind of poll numbers among GOP voters and with GOP control of the House? 3) it is highly unlikely the Dems will take over control of the House in 2018, it is theoretically possible but highly unlikely, Bruhs.
So, for the foreseeable future Trump is POTUS unless he keels over or resigns on his own...the latter will never happen the former is always a possibility bruhs.
I think we are, unfortunately, stuck with the Cheeto Jesus moran in the WH for now and probably the next few years. The best I think we can hope for is that Trump decides not to run in 2020. Hopefully the US and the world can survive until then without a major disaster caused by this moran.
God help us all bruhs.

Yep. My wife and I talked about how he would send that exact tweet out before he did it, and then of course he did. He is so predictable, and pitiful as you said.
Good post, but...... did you really have to challenge Flagpole on one of his super 100% flagpole guarantees??? Now we (Well, y'all, I don't check in that much on this thread) are gonna have to deal with another several months of "Trump won't last the year, I predicted it, and I am never [well, *almost* never] wrong on my guarantees. I am not cocky, I just happen to be very well versed in this topic. Trust me, you'll see, I will be RIGHT."
oh gaaawd. Did he seriously not learn from least year? Wait, don't answer that, of course he didn't.

it would be the perfect Trumpist moment if the Rs can't get the donor relief act passed. that party is a bit ah weak on the governing skillz.
you can keep ignoring that there are fewer and fewer Republicans every month, but that doesn't change the fact that 80% support of a continuously shrinking number is not going to win elections.

1) Trump will not make it to the end of his first term as President.
2) I BELIEVE that collusion (conspiracy) with Russia will be proven and then I will be right on my 2016 election too.
3) The Alabama election of Jones is good as a one-off, but he did get very lucky that he was running against the absolute worst candidate the Republicans could have put up, and even though Trump's support couldn't pull him over the line, I don't think this is a rejection of Trump...it's not an endorsement of Trump, but it's not a rejection either.
Mueller is coming.
Trump is done.
And Omarosa also goes home devastated!
From a pure political standpoint:
If Trump can't help get Republicans elected (and in fact those he endorses loses) and they fail to pass healthcare reform and tax reform this year, the motivation and use to keep Trump around changes for Republicans.
Ryan and McConnell may suddenly see reasons to impeach Trump and replace him with another Republican by midterms next year.

Yep. I THINK Mueller will give them the excuse to impeach him that they really do want.
Regarding Trump, while he is an absolutely vile human being who has no business being the President of the United States, and while I think he deserves to be in prison (but probably won't be), I honestly get no joy out of seeing someone so tortured. His torture doesn't come from the press or the investigation. It comes from his own mind. For someone at age 71 who needs constant adulation and approval shows that something is seriously wrong, something that he should have had treated a long time ago. That is difficult to watch. BUT...that doesn't mean he needs to be our President, and he doesn't.
Mueller is coming.
Trump is done.
Dem 49 - 51 Rep from now on.... With this close a split there is no wiggle room on Senate votes. Let's extrapolate - the anti-sexual harassment activism is only going to grow, Trump will only become more aggressive in his responses, and the Russia investigation will continue to put pressure on his admin. There isn't anything positive for Trump in all this.
Agreed.

Good post.
But I think that your last line is one of my all-time favorites on LRC.
If Trump were an adult . . .
. . . he wouldn't be tweeting every morning at 3 am.
. . . he wouldn't be praising every bloodthirsty dictator on the planet (except for Kim)
. . . he wouldn't be getting into a 6th-grade level bout of naming calling with a fellow mad man with nuclear weapons at his disposal
. . . he wouldn't have won a GOP primary victory principally on the strength of his 6th-grade level name calling of opponents
. . . he wouldn't be POTUS
Indeed, it is very difficult to envision a world in which Trump was an adult. Could such an alternate universe even exist? Or is an adult Trump a logical impossibility?
I love this phrase, "if Trump were an adult". I think that it will be putting a smile on my face all day.
Daughter: "Can I borrow the car tonight, Dad?" Me: "Well, if Trump were an adult, you could keep the car - it's yours!"
Customer: "Can we get a discount on that?" Me: "If Trump were an adult, I'd let you name your own discount."
Colleague: "Can you explain for me again how Bender's Decomposition works?" Me: "If Trump were an adult, I'd be happy to."
.
.
.
.
If Trump were an adult . . .
I hope Democrats realize that for Jones to beat Moore many Republicans chose country over party.

Trumps endorsement is the kiss of death.
