Trying to understand why you'd still take Donald Trump over the other two candidates.
(Hillary, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein I guess are the other "2")
Is it that Trump called himself a Republican, or is it his suggested policies or is it his flair?
I understand Hillary isn't the most likable person but she has a lot of knowledge and her policies are centrist.
I didn't pull for her 2008 and was glad Obama got the nomination.
Last year, I thought she would be more effective in representing the whole country than Bernie Sanders, whose policies I like better.
The Democrats need a better candidate next time.
Bill Clinton embarrassed the country.
John Edwards would have been a potential embarrassment.
Anthony Weiner was smart guy but an idiot creep at the same time. Good riddance to him.
Al Franken is maybe more a victim of the times but has to toe the line if he thinks Trump should be held accountable for past indiscretions.
Trump has no policies, no standards and no honesty.
And he thrives off of dividing people.
Presidents are supposed to try to unite the country and not disparage groups even if they don't support them.
Please give a summary of why you'd take Trump over the other choices.
I have seen some admirable Republicans like Bob Dole and John McCain even though I differ in opinion of the base of their policies.
I think John Boehner did the best he could with his circumstances. I think Mitch McConnell is evil at a Bannon level.
So I will look at people one at a time and judge past their political party.
Ronald Reagan was beloved on a large scale but I hold him responsible for accelerating the class divides and the ever widening income gap.
He was a leader in getting people to vote against their economic interests that is main platform for the Republican party.
Obama has done more to bring the country forward and help the most Americans than any president in my lifetime (started with Nixon).
