Truth.
Butthurt and outraged trumpers continue to lash out at the GOP. If only they hadn't been indulged for decades and primed to mistrust the government and hate their fellow americans. The GOP has to deal with these people with ice cold water, otherwise trumpism lives.

Was seeing chatter about certain red states seceding. I know it comes up every now and then, but I wouldn't put it past once of those trump sycophant infested states to actually try it. They have given into and indulged those delusional voters so much that I think it's actually possible one of them is pushed to try it.
He is going for broke after all.. he will beat the Civil War body count bigly. So much winning.

Would any of us actually be upset if one of those red states was successful in seceding? Wouldn't mind there being a place for the idiots who continue to fly their Trump flags. "You don't like America? Pack you bleep and take it to Alabama." Plus, there would be 2 less red seats in the senate. Good, no?
But in all seriousness, what would that look like? What would the long term effects be? Would there need to be a wall built around the states who secede? You know, to prevent illegals from entering?

Impeaching Trump is a vote of the soul. Clearly she had to know that doing this would result in a lot of her supporters not being happy. She probably said she would rather lose support than enable this nonsense any further.

It would look kinda like what happened in 1861-1865.

So straight Civil War? State secedes then gets armed, recruits and prepares to take on the rest of America?
OK, so what do we do with this?

Trumpers wanting pardons from Trump because they believe they were answering his call? The irony of these dummies believing that Trump will break with HIS tradition and actually help them, coupled with the idea that by requesting a pardon they have indirectly provided proof that Trump is indeed responsible for the nonsense on Jan. 6, is incredible and oh so sweet.......

Yes it would be unconstitutional but assuming the GOP fully endorsed the idea, Dems would let them go for it and sit back with popcorn in hand. I seriously doubt they would shed blood to keep Alabama. There would be a super majority resolution in favor followed by several years of regret and financial catastrophe while the state unsuccessfully negotiates any favorable terms of it's exit. There would be a mass exodus of both Dems and Rs, probably cutting the population by half. Assuming they finally make it out, the independent state would be completely deregulated to try to attract manufacturers and jobs. It would turn into a super polluter and center of illicit activity. That would lead to retaliation by the US (dominated by Dems) further crushing the state to nothingness. It would lead to the conditions in Idiocracy. I can't picture it any other way.

Trump has to help them otherwise it's a hard goodbye from the base. It would make him the ultimate traitor and he would lose perhaps his only lifeline to anything.

Another example of a large number of republicans punishing ethical behavior. No wonder Trump was so popular with them.
guess who is the lead over at FoxNews.com on Trump's last full day in office?
Hillary Clinton.
I kid you not.
Something to do with her not being nice to Trump.

This is true, but it started with their poor leadership and it's only the party that can remedy the situation now by being truthful (yeah I know, hahahahahaha). They primed the base and it won't be easy undoing the damage.
I won't give a US covid update today because yesterday was a holiday in the US so numbers are no doubt off. It was another good day statistically but we'll see if the numbers rise post-holiday.
Israel is still not seeing a meaningful nationwide drop in cases and deaths there have never been higher.
