this is typical of trumpers missing the point.
trumpers think biden being cautious about covid will hurt Joe
trumpers think support for green initiatives will hurt Joe
trumpers think support for BLM will hurt Joe.
None of this is true. They are helping Joe. That is what Dems want.
Because Dems are reasonable and forward looking and understand these are good decisions, worthy of a president.
As much as Trump has tried to jump on Biden's comments on the oil industry and fracking, 52% of Pennsylvania voters oppose fracking. So it seems more likely that his stance on green energy will help him in Pennsylvania, despite that state's ties to the coal/oil industries. The right wingers seem to ignore this reality.
And to some extent, it doesn't matter who is in the White House, the country, and the world, are moving towards a greener future. Trump and the fossil fuel people can try to fight this, but it's swimming against the tide. Trump tried to revive the coal industry by rolling back every environmental regulation that he could (to the detriment of the health of Americans and of our environment), and employment in the coal industry today is lower than when he took office.
Even big oil companies know which way the wind is blowing. Driving through OK and north TX for the first time recently, I was amazed at the number of wind turbines in the middle of oil country.
