win win win no matter what wrote:
The irony of this election is that there is one reason people are voting in record numbers and he is Donald Trump. His leadership (or lack thereof) has inspired fanatical turnout voting numbers. People are either passionately voting to get rid of him, or passionately voting to keep him.
Biden and anything he represents, other than “not being Trump”, isn’t a motivating factor to any voters. Most of the liberals really wanted Bernie and would have actually been drawn out to vote FOR Bernie. They were inspired and drawn out to vote for Obama. But not Joe.
Instead, the only motivating factor in this election is Trump. It will be an interesting 4 years if Biden wins, a candidate who really no one in particular was excited about and who was only chosen to put a stop to the Trump machine.
Funny enough though, It can be argued that so much of the “excitement” on the right is just hot air. He really won by a hair in 2016, does that really say excitement more than it does the fact that 40-45% of the country will always vote for their party’s candidate no matter what? Sure he really killed it in the primaries but look at 2018, huge disappointment largely due to him dragging the party down. Now we might actually see Biden winning by a landslide.. that would be excitement especially in an election against an incumbent.
