Trump keeps taking shots at Mitch McConnell for failing to pass a healthcare repeal plan.
The one and only success that people give Trump credit for as president is getting Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court.
If McConnell didn't unethically hold up Obama's nomination of Garland, Trump would never have been able to put Gorsuch in.
Such dysfunction.

No, he doesn't get points for Gorsuch. The seat appointment belonged to Obama. The Republicans would press to fill a seat on the last day before an election if the sitting president was a Republican and the White House might swing into the enemy hands of a Democrat. Sad.

the idea that the president is poking the bloody senate majority leader is freaking insane.
Trump does not want to get on McConnell's bad side, especially when Trump has a 37% approval rating.

Eight GOP investigations did not turn up anything of note. This is nine, but it's red meat to you wackjobs.
Oh, geez, that is disgusting...
For the sake of the actual fit people on this running site, please never post that picture again.

Yeh, he is pretty much guaranteeing he won't get anything done for the rest of his term. Pretty stupid.
Perhaps he knows that he is going down and he just doesn't care about getting anything done.
Is Trump still taking credit for the stock market? Looks like his sabre-rattling has led to quite a dip.

nah - trump is trying to piggy back on talk radio's hatred of McConnell. Talk radio considered McConnell a Rino and swamp creature. Trump is just playing to his low information base.
Very odd non sequitur bro wrote:
Hey flippin' that's an odd non sequitur bro. You know Hilliary lost and is no longer in government; correct? It's pretty common for a sitting president to criticize and blame the preceding president for current issues / problems especially if they are of different parties. That is expected behavior--Bush II did this and Obama did this a lot. But, blaming someone you beat in an election who was not the prior president is highly unusual--you do realize this, correct? It's almost as if Trump is trying to distract his base by throwing them some red meat since he knows how much they hate Hilliary. Don't you think he might be doing this for a reason? Why do you fall for such obvious attempts to distract you from something major that might be occurring in the government/ world? Are you that simple minded?
Yes.
Trump is trying to blame healthcare failure on Congress.
Trump ran on repealing Obamacare and wants to blame someone else for it's failure.
But would take full credit if it passed.
But he's the top guy. He has to take the hit.
And it really is his fault. He did zero selling of the plan to the public.
He is supposed to be the main spokesperson. He is supposed to make televised speeches of how he would like the bill to look.
He did none of that. His fault. He couldn't get it done. Couldn't cut deals.
Most Republicans would be happy to suspend POTUS elections and leave Trump in as dictator if that is what Trump told them should happen.
" The startling new finding in this poll is that if Donald Trump were to announce he was postponing the 2020 election "until the country can make sure that only eligible American citizens can vote," 52 percent of Republicans say they would support him. An additional 4 percent would support a postponement if Republicans in Congress echoed Trump's claims that voter fraud is rampant and we have to suspend elections to root it out."
"After all, many authoritarian movements have been built on lies and distortions supporting a narrative that the majority is the victim of grave injustice and rampant lawlessness on the part of minority groups. That is, in effect, what Trump and Republicans' claims about voter fraud are. They are baseless assertions that lawless, non-American Others are stealing our government from "us." And millions of people believe this, internalize it, form their political opinions based on it. Belief in evidence-free crap is a key factor in whether a population is ready, willing, and able to stomach an authoritarian regime, and the Republican base has proved itself ready."
This sounds suspiciously like our resident victim in chief, the Disco Kid, no?

health care failure really is not trump's fault
Boehner called it - the GOP has no viable consensus view of what the health care system should be. He has always said that and I believe he predicted that congress would fail at repeal and replace. Because they had nothing to replace it with.
if the GOP came up with a viable health care system, it would pass congress without trjmp's help. But the GOP can't do that because of the wacky extremists who think people value freedom and healthcare equally.

I do not understand that statement. Are you trying to say that anyone who values freedom is wacky? That folks who value health care as much as freedom are wacky?
Really can't figure out what you are trying to say. Who, precisely, is wacky and why do you consider them wacky?
I know Congress had no plan that would pass among themselves.
But Trump put the whole thing on his shoulders.
And he did not do his part.
Trump could have co-authored a bill and submitted that.
When the ACA was passed, Obama was involved in the slightest details of how it was written and made speeches to the public to explain what he was trying to do.
He fought hard to get a public option put in and explained the details of how it would work.
Now, the public option part was removed to get the votes. You can't blame Obama for not trying.
You can totally blame Trump for not trying in this case.

I'm saying the GOP has a weird approach to health insurance. They argue that people should value the 'freedom' not to have health insurance. The GOP argues that is extremely important. They want to deregulate so people can buy useless health care insurance that will not cover them in a meaningful manner. or not have health insurance at all.
I'd say that is false. I'd say that people would much rather have health insurance than that particular freedom. that the two things - health care and freedom - are not tradable issues.
hard for me to explain. But in general, the GOP underestimates how much people want to have health care. They think people want 'freedom' more.
And I'm not taking freedom of speech or guns or religion...just the freedom not to have healthcare. I think the GOP posits that as a goal...I think that is pretty silly.
OK.
Thanks for the Clair Phycashun.
Crikey, mate - that sounds EXACTLY like Gary.

Obama read the whole thing? Drivel.
1. “If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan.†How did that turn out?
2. "Cut the cost of premiums by $2,500 for a family of four" How did that turn out?
3. "if you like your doctor, you will able to keep your doctor" How did that turn out?
Pelosi: "We have to pass this bill so that you can find out what's in it"
Yep, Obama knew all the details. Riiiiiight......
