That's correct. But the "many" is at most 40%, and a debate won't change those dynamics.
The election is a referendum on Trump. The ones who like him are already convinced. I don't believe for one second that Tiny can sell his BS to anyone new.
Yeah fats is right...sure tens of millions want a mussolini type shouter, but they won't be deciding the election.
The people deciding this election seem to be suburban women and african americans.
I suspect Trump's debate tactics will not work with those groups but who knows.
Well, those voters have to show up

More videos of the same event. And...
There are multiple mini-explosions (flashing lights). The rising plume (cloud) is red in color. It's some type of chemical explosion. Most likely a from ship at dock because that size of an explosion requires a lot of mass. The red color indicates it might be nitric acid.

He finally figured out he needs to win Frorida. Texus may be the next state that Trump delares must mail-in their votes.

He did fine against HRC in the debates.
1st debate: Clinton 61%, Trump 27%.
2nd debate: Clinton 53%, Trump 35%.
3rd debate: Clinton 60%, Trump 31%.
This is just one poll, but most other polls should be similar. It shows you debates really do not matter. Gore crushed Bush in debates, but lost the election.

This.
The other factor is that Trump may be a good salesman but it’s worn thin at this stage. The economy has tanked, there’s civil unrest, unemployment is through the roof and he’s handled a pandemic appallingly. No amount of his repetitive bluster will change that. But let’s be clear he is not a good debater.

In Biden's favor:
- Trump's gig is old - broken record status
- the country is unnecessarily far worse off than when trump took office, and at best it is more divided than ever
- Most of the problems can be directly attributed to trump
- Dems are angry
- Biden is very well liked and convincingly took the primaries
- It is extremely easy to demonstrate trump's incompetence and corruption
- Much of the world hates trump and he has no respect from the most powerful leaders
Not in Biden's favor:
- The DOJ has become trump's personal law firm
- Trump is not afraid to cheat and is ok doing it openly
- The GOP is happy to help him cheat and destroy the country
- The 40% of the voting base support trump at all costs is too high for comfort
- Putin is more than happy to help keep his lapdog in power
- Our voting system is very fragile and intentionally weakened
- Many Dems will continue to be complacent
So given trump has dug in to lock down the support of the mouth breathers, we know his slice of the pie has not grown and most likely diminished. The only questions are 1) Will all the above points net to a slightly higher Dem turnout? 2) Even if Dem turnout is higher, will trump & friends cheat and get away with it?

Darn.
I'm sure he didn't figure that out on his own and I was really hoping his staff would keep it a secret.
Mark my words. Democrats will get most of what they want in the new relief bill.
Republicans up for re-election can't go home empty-handed and Pelosi knows it. So if they have to, a few desperate R's in the senate will join Democrats to pass something that makes Bernie smile.

Lol it's beyond ridiculous but may be effective in inspiring enough nimrods in Frorida.

He can't afford to lose Frorida. This is him letting people know that in certain R-governed states, it may be ok because they will make the results favorable to him. This voting situation is extremely disturbing. He's cast enough doubt on the media to effectively remove them as a check. Now there is plenty of doubt about our capability to run a fair election. If media is on his side they are good. If election results are on his side they are good.
Note to trumpists:
Violent crime is down this year in the cities. Murder is up a lot, which is strange. But still very very low compared to historical rates.
///
The national numbers for murder and other types of violent crime rarely move in opposite directions.
But this is no ordinary year.
Overall crime is down 5.3 percent in 25 large American cities relative to the same period in 2019, with violent crime down 2 percent.
But murder in these 25 cities is up 16.1 percent in relation to last year. It’s not just a handful of cities driving this change, either. Property crime is down in 18 of the 25 sampled cities, and violent crime is down in 11 of them, but murder is up in 20 of the cities.

He'll bulldoze his way in 2020 too - whenever he needs a fact, he'll make it up.
Trump is literally one of the world's greatest salespeople. Literally. He can sell very well, and he knows how to sell anything. He's been conning people for decades, including smart bankers who should have known better.
Americans don't know what is true anymore and many of us want a primitive strongman.
Gonna have to strongly disagree with you about Trump's ability to sell.
These failed businesses say otherwise:
Trump University
Trump Casinos
Trump Airlines
Trump Steaks
Trump water
Trump Vodka
Trump long distance calling (or whatever it was)
Trump's involvement in the XFL
Trump Magazine
Trump The Game
Trump Mortgage
Trump travel site GoTrump.com
He failed at owning casinos? Really? He is actually a piss-poor salesman. He hit a home run with convincing people to vote for him for President, but that doesn't make him a good salesman. For some reason some people have bought this BS that he's a brilliant salesman. His business history says otherwise.
Reminder that we are ranked #4 in COVID mortality rate and that the US makes up 4% of the world's population and 23% of all COVID deaths. Slice it any way you want to, but he fact is more Americans are dying from COVID than in other countries and the number of casualties keeps climbing with no sign of letting up significantly.
I think he has conned agip pretty effectively. But yeah it's basically a numbers effect. Trump has thrown around so many failed idiotic and corrupt ideas but managed to run victory laps on the few things that worked temporarily.
Biff, Sally, what are your thoughts on trump's responses?

You, sir, are clueless. "You" are redefining what debating IS to fit your error. Did you take a debating class at Trump University? Seems like.
-- A debate is basically an argument with strict rules of conduct. It is not a shouting match between two sides with different points of view.
-- Debating is a thoughtful analysis of a given topic while improving their speaking and listening skills in the process.
trump wins votes at debates.
deal with it.
One of the issues to count on through November is that virtually every day Trump reinforces what those who like him like about him and what those who don't like him don't like about him. The debates are just another opportunity for those opinions to be solidified. Likely we'll see more of what we see now as far as votes being picked up. It's very unlikely to change.
