This is a delusional statement. Trump has no debating skills. Rambling whinings are not debating. Debating has rules, Trump does not.

What do you all think about Biden's less is more strategy? He's done half the number of interviews as trump and he doesn't have much of a social media footprint. Trump campaigns for Biden more often than not but I am afraid if he's the only one sucking up all the attention oxygen then it also means he can do well when he's not shooting himself in the foot.
The strategy seems to be working very well according to the polls.
My only worry is that Tiny will use the power of his office to disrupt the election.
But as long as we get a free and fair election, Biden wins big.

Fact checks will not be needed. Biden only needs to properly frame the facts that everyone agrees on.
Everyone agrees on what he said about injecting bleach.
Everyone agrees that he was impeached.
Everyone agrees that he slept with a porn star.
The list goes on and on. No matter what Tiny tries to say, Biden just has to remind everyone of what happened in the last four years. That's all it takes to convince 55% of voters.

Let's be clear here - he doesn't have ANY debating skills. He's an excellent barker and knows how to destroy structure. He won't let there be a debate, he will just bark over the moderator and Biden the whole time to show his manliness. The challenge for Biden is that these debates will lack substance so he'll have to get a little dirty and yet keep redirecting the bigger message that trump has been a proven disaster. If he leaves it up to the moderator to help get the discussion back on track it won't work.

trump crushed the republican field in 2016 based mostly on his debating skills.
He did fine against HRC in the debates.
He'll bulldoze his way in 2020 too - whenever he needs a fact, he'll make it up.
Trump is literally one of the world's greatest salespeople. Literally. He can sell very well, and he knows how to sell anything. He's been conning people for decades, including smart bankers who should have known better.

I think this is semantics.
I'm defining 'debating skills' as 'able to win votes using the debates'
By that measure Trump is a great debater.

You, sir, are clueless. "You" are redefining what debating IS to fit your error. Did you take a debating class at Trump University? Seems like.
-- A debate is basically an argument with strict rules of conduct. It is not a shouting match between two sides with different points of view.
-- Debating is a thoughtful analysis of a given topic while improving their speaking and listening skills in the process.

While this is very true - remember that trump knows he's in a hole. This is not 2016 when very few knew his con. He has a horrendous track record now and will be very vulnerable. My 2c for what would help Biden:
Opening statement - concise summary of trump's catastrophic record, especially the economy. Also, boast about time with Obama.
During his turn to speak - make genuine and compassionate statements to the american people. Biden's strength is his empathy and positivity.
When trump tries to interrupt he has to shut him down forcefully.
He should stay away from direct personal attacks. When trump hits him with anything he needs some very detailed responses that highlights his hypocrisy. If he brings up Hunter, then bring up Jared and Ivanka (nepotism, Chinese patents, real estate loans, constant screw ups). If he brings up Biden's past performance, then talk about how trump crashed the economy after he and Obama handed it to him in amazing shape.
Focus on COVID and job losses as much as possible - it was a cakewalk until trump had to play leader and he fumbled it bigly. Couldn't listen to the experts, couldn't let them do their work, hurt the states' efforts to get critical PPE.
Praise Obama when it comes up. Bring up the record number of trump admin indictments. Hit his lack of manliness if he needs to go there. I would rip him for being thin-skinned.
Trump has one mode - barking dog. There are way too many options to stifle him.
...Trump doesn't listening to anyone except the cognitive dissonance inside his head.

deal with it.

Can you say that you believe trump would have won if he ran in any other race in recent history before 2016? He is a barking dog with great timing. He does seem to have an eye for opportunity in chaos - but he only has tunnel vision... he's got one gear and has no clue how to change his strategy and he won't. He lucked out with the circumstances and he may again - but let's not go calling him brilliant.

That's correct. But the "many" is at most 40%, and a debate won't change those dynamics.
The election is a referendum on Trump. The ones who like him are already convinced. I don't believe for one second that Tiny can sell his BS to anyone new.

So you are saying he is an effective barking dog, regardless of the platform.

That last bit and the fact that HRC was very disliked pushed him over the line in 2016. He is not getting new supporters and everyone loves Biden.

1st debate: Clinton 61%, Trump 27%.
2nd debate: Clinton 53%, Trump 35%.
3rd debate: Clinton 60%, Trump 31%.
This is just one poll, but most other polls should be similar. It shows you debates really do not matter. Gore crushed Bush in debates, but lost the election.

Yeah fats is right...sure tens of millions want a mussolini type shouter, but they won't be deciding the election.
The people deciding this election seem to be suburban women and african americans.
I suspect Trump's debate tactics will not work with those groups but who knows.
“The Trump campaign and RNC have now registered 100,000 new voters in the 2020 cycle, more than doubling their numbers from 2016 and shrinking Democrats’ registration advantage in key swing states, according to new Trump Victory data provided exclusively to Axios.

Trump is a poor executive but a great salesman.
Just for the record, trump himself never went bankrupt - his businesses did.
Again, he sold a bill of goods to investors and customers and didn't have to take the fall himself.
That's mostly due to his sales skills.
He told them they would make millions and they believed him. The only one who made millions was Trump himself. Sales.
