Could someone explain why this is so bad for Trump?
I don't get it. I'm sure he didn't hide any info from troops in the field that would endanger them.
The C in C isn't supposed to micromanage operations. What would have been an appropriate course for trump?

BLM & Antifa are today's brownshirts
How can you be that stupid to believe that? Oh, I forgot, you are Biff, the dumbest person by far that I have ever encountered.
Biden wins if he is breathing.
Enjoy your loss & thanks for playing.
Sourpole, your far left Antifa & BLM rioters have hijacked the Dem party. Wait until the debates when America sees just how much Dementia Joe has cognitively declined. This will end badly for you.
Enjoy your loss.
Enjoy your permanent self ban & thanks for playing.

You cannot be serious. Please remove your Trump hat. Knowing Putin has a bounty on American soldiers IS NOT a micromanagement operation. Is military top brass supposed to go after Putin on their own? Seriously?
Appropriate courses of action by Trump: publicly denounce Putin. DO NOT remove troops from Syria; increase the troops there. Increase bombing of Putin back insurgents in Afghanistan.
Hey agip,
This must be wonderful for the NYC real estate market. Shootings go up, so let's defund the police, baby!

The debates are coming.
He can't hide forever.
"Come on, man!"
Another loss for Trump.

A report comes out that Russia is responsible for additional American soldier deaths in a conflict that Russia is not involved in.
Trump publicly shrugs.
You ask why is that bad for Trump?
Maybe if Trump spoke out against Putin killing Americans the way he speaks out against some American governors trying to save Americans from a disease, he'd appear more patriotic.

White House is claiming the intelligence community couldn't come to a consensus on if it's legit or not and John Ratcliffe (Director of National Intelligence) claimed the administration wasn't briefed, presumably for this reason. We'll see how it plays it I guess. Hard to give this administration the benefit of the doubt because they're legendarily incompetent
Well, well, well. Probably going to see a spike from the Seattle CHOP too.

You're kidding, right? Please tell me you are kidding.
Russia is paying bounties for the deaths of American troops. Trump has no response and even openly pushes for Russian interests in attending G7 meetings (among other things). And you ask why this is bad for Trump?!?
WTF? Are you trolling? Brain dead? What?

I'm asking a question. No idea why people have to fire bazookas at me.
Ok, I can see the G'8' invite as a bad idea. Agreed.
I'm just not sure if the C in C should be spouting off at the mouth when the IC hands him information. Trump is a bull in a china shop - do you want him fighting Putin on twitter? I sure don't. I'd rather the info be disseminated in the field and officers take of it.
In the end the president gets a ton of really nasty information. It's not his job to preach on every bit of it. BUt sure, don't invite to the G7.
I see many people see this as worse than the Ukraine extortion. I sure don't. I'm just trying to get a sense of why the max outrage.

There are a few implications here:
1. If it turns out he kept intel unactioned or disregarded advice then of course it solidifies the view that he caters to putin at the expense of our troops
2. If there were viable actions to go along with this intel that would have prevented the loss of lives then he has some responsibility.
agip, you know what happens when an echo chamber member strays from the echo chamber mob/party line. I support your independent stance here.

People are getting tired of the treason...
You're saying Trump has made the bar so low that his actions have to be more egregious to be called out on them.
The Russian bounties would be major headlines under any other president.
He needs to be called out the same way any other president would be.
This thing is way worse than Benghazi and Hillary was subject to many investigations and testimony from that.

tell me exactly what Trump should have done.
Agreed, inviting russia to the G7 was bad.
Other than that.
You tell me exactly what Trump should have done after hearing this in a briefing.
You want him announcing it to the world, given his lack of diplomatic talent? or do you want actual military people dealing with it?
And enter Matt and other minions to engage in their usual xenophobic fear mongering.

well I'm assuming the IC didn't hand Trump the info and then sit on it forever more, not sending it down the chain of command. I'm assuming the IC told the people in the field who needed to know. And that they did something. You know, trained generals, not moran TV show hosts.
I mean if Trump quashed efforts to keep US troops safe, then sure, that's treason. But is anyone accusing him of that?
Remember that a president gets thousands of really nasty bits of intel.
