If Obamacare was working then it would not be such a big deal. It is a big political deal. In fact, probably the biggest issue that concerns the middle class.Of course, if you have affordable healthcare right now it works for you. You should not dismiss other people's concerns because you disagree with them. This country is very big, vast and diverse. There is no way a single person can know what is happening everywhere. You need to trust what people say.

Romney opposed Obamacare because he thought that one size does not fit all. 6 million in a central location vs 300 million diverse people spread across a huge and diverse country.
Furthermore, you are implying that the Democrats basically copied the Republicans because they had no idea of what they are doing. If that is true, then you must expect the next great answer to also come from the Republicans.
