the difference is that Trump has the legal right to give anybody any information. Comey doesn't.

Not really.
He didn't give out US information.
He gave out information entrusted to the US by foreign nations.
He didn't break US law but there are international ramifications.
He can declassify anything but that isn't the same as having the legal right to give anybody any information.
Trump's known actions are worse than Comey's alleged actions.
And Trump's new tweet is just another side show to distract us from his failed healthcare bill.
John McCain says the bill is probably dead.
The GOP is making fun of Trump's idea to team up with Russia on cyber security.
Trump is instructing Fox to make a headline about something else.
The man can't lead and he can't get anything done.
Comprehension is not your strong point. I lean left (not as far as you) and I completely understood it. Get a life, it doesn't mean to talk about the Kardashians instead. The time that you've lost can't be retrieved and you've solved nothing. Your goal of getting others to agree with you will never be attained. Adios oh enlightened ones.

The next page, you do the same thing. Honestly, do you guys have lives?
Do you realize the days of your lives that you wasted on here? Are you trying to educate others? Do you believe that only your opinion matters? I'm being serious, it appears to be mostly the same people over and over going back and forth, is it really worth this much time of your lives?
yeah, you're right. No one is interested in politics. Dead subject. Not important, not worth our time. Let's talk about the kardashians instead.

"James Comey leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION to the media. That is so illegal!"
I guess they can look into that and see if it's true or another Trump lie.
Here is what we do know and has been confirmed:
Trump leaked formerly classified information to the Russians.
That's not hearsay. When the Russians were in the White House, he gave them information that he received from other nations that was meant only for US intelligence.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/trump-revealed-highly-classified-information-to-russian-foreign-minister-and-ambassador/2017/05/15/530c172a-3960-11e7-9e48-c4f199710b69_story.html?utm_term=.781446d4fd9eWe're not going to forget news from a couple of months ago.
Trump is insane.
my point is that talking about politics is fun. It's interesting. I learn things. it is ever changing and involves history, psychology, international relations, writing skills, the art of the sharp retort, etc. It's conversation. it's interesting. Your advice is...don't have conversation? When I enjoy it? What is the benefit of that?I think there is a general misconception about talking about politics that you may share. Nobody's mind is every changed by convo like this. that's not the point. If you get past that misconception, threads like this one make more sense. In a sense, I have more in common with a guy like baddude than with someone posting another 'hey is galen rupp doping?' threads. We are interested in the same thing, even if we disagree. And while we obvi have no idea if Rupp is doping, we can speak more clearly on politics.

Why do you assume that is his goal? Actually information presented might be informative to some people reading but not even posting, but really that is irrelevant too.
People spend time on things that either are important to them or interesting to them. What people are interested in doing is personal and their choice. (for example - Did anyone ever question the amount of time you spend running)
Also, one can win an argument but not but not change the mind of the person with whom you are arguing.
Your comment about the Kardashians is somewhat valid but I think Eric was exaggerating to make a point. Actually, from reading some of his posts, I think his comprehension seems pretty good.
Still not a peep from Breitbart on Junior's latest bed-sh*tting episode. Our Traitor in Chief and his minions sure are taking a while to get their stories straight.
Hi Eric!
No, he or she has a valid point. You're not comparing apples to apples. Running is a solitude thing, you're not arguing back and forth with others while you're doing it. Yes, his goal and yours is surely to get others to believe you are right and they are wrong. In the end, you could most certainly be doing more productive things with your time than bickering on here over something that you'll never change. But, it's your life, waste it away trying to dig up things that won't matter in the end.
Here's a rundown on the comey memos. The right wing newspeople are leading with a false story - that comey leaked classified info on his memos. that is apparently not true. But the right wingers are using it as a way to distract from junior's collusionary meeting with the Russians.
In a nutshell, comey wrote 7 memos. four had classified info. Those stayed in house. He wrote 3 with no classified info. On purpose. He gave those 3 to his friend.
So hey right wingers - time to yell fake news at Fox and DJT. Ready.....go!
I have zero hope that any right wingers who post will change their minds. Well maybe 1%. That is not why I post here. And I do run. I run a lot. I'm pretty fast for my age.
Ok, fair enough. I run too. I'm just curious, how old are you and what do you run for 5k, 10k, marathon, whichever. I'm not asking for your real name, just your actual age and times. Ty

Trump tweeting that Comey leaked classified information is jut like when he tweeted that Obama wire tapped his place during the campaign.
He has no problem simply tweeting out fake news.
Then calling true reports on him fake news.
I'd rather not say anything that might identify me. But I run in the 82% age graded zone regularly.

The man is a paragon of virtue!
this Fox story is really amazing - you have to read very carefully halfway down the story to get a hint that the entire premise of the story is wrong - that Comey didn't give out any classified info.
The reporter never writes that - she has a source say it.
Gawd those Fox people are horrible journos. And that is the sole source of info for so many thumpers. No wonder they have such low information. When they live and feed on Fox, then are exposed to the truth, the only recourse they have is to say that the truth is a lie.
Yeah, I steadily will check CNN and then Fox to see what stories they are each promoting.
People sticking with one source of news can easily have their views shaped by them.
The similarity is that both can be things a person finds interesting to do that others may not understand. Certainly I was not comparing the value of each activity. Someone who runs for health and fitness may not understand someone who runs to compete. To each their own
One sad part of all this is that we are getting desensitized to Trump's bold faced lies. Trump declared in one of his tweets that Comey was guilty of purposely passing classified information. This is a pretty serious offense.
But it was all a lie and it was a reckless slander. He didn't even preface it by saying the memo's should be examined to determine if, instead he played judge and jury and pronounced him guilty.
That was a very serious accusation, it was slanderous and it was a lie. But we are so used to our president doing this now it seems like no big deal. That's just Trump being Trump. Well, I think its a big deal.
Part of the problem is that there is so much the Trump does on a daily based that its hard to focus on one issue too long.
