I don’t think the legal system will prevail, Ghost. They don’t want you, locking up senior citizens looks bad.

At some point they will ask for Trump's testimony.
Does anyone know if taking the fifth is an option since impeachment is not a court of law/legal process?
I believe if he simply refuses to testify, that would be grounds for an additional obstruction article of impeachment.
And of course perjury would be impeachable.

Let's try this again:
Habitual liar: There was NO quid pro quo
President of Ukraine: You guys again?! Leave me the f*** out of this. I'm done playing in your elections as my chief of staff told your ambassador repeatedly. 13,000 of my people have been killed by Russians already, you're supposed to be my ally. Saw nothing, heard nothing, saying nothing. Sort it out amongst yoursleves.
Millionaire hotel owner who bought his post for $1m and doesn't know his arse from his elbow: Woah. This seems serious. I didn't realize at the time there was a quid pro quo but now I kinda see where you're coming from. Crazy! Also, I took no notes and don't remember anything but if anything bad happened it's Giuliani's fault. Politics sucks - can I please go back to being a regular know-nothing Florida rich person? Also Bill Taylor is a stud.
West, Point Grad, Vietnam vet, 50 year veteran of the diplomatic corps. appointed by a Replublican: Lietenant Bone Spurs is a traitor. Do with that what you will.
You sow seeds of dissent like wheat fields of our youth in Saransk. Good work, comrade.

Trump testifying would be a train wreck. I don't believe he could give a coherent response to anything other than, "Please state your name."

Yes, they would at least try to continue.
Part of impeachment and removal from office is the provision that the person removed is prohibited from holding public office again. They didn't do that for Nixon, but for Tiny it would be important.
However, I don't think there is any possible way that Tiny will resign. Resignation would be an admission of guilt. He is such a narcissist that he could never bring himself to admit that he did something wrong.
People have said this (bolded sentence) over and over again. But it is not true. Trump could easily convince himself and his worshipers that resignation is just more proof of the DEEP STATE and that the best way to carry on his courageous struggle is to get out from inside the DEEP STATE.
He will not resign but this is not the reason.
Pencil Neck's impeachment witch hunt is failng.
No quid pro quo.
Democrats have no chance in the 2020 elections!!!! Midwestern and southern voters WILL reject all democrats!!!!
Democrats lose again!!!!

Trump is such a wild card that it is impossible to know for sure. In some ways, especially if the Senate comes to him and tells him they have the votes to oust him, he saves face a little bit by resigning. He can then say (and will) that the process was unfair and that he had no choice. A conviction MAKES him guilty. A resignation gives HIM the power. BUT, those are logical decisions and I do not know if Trump is capable of logical decision making. Also, as I have said for a long time, he MIGHT be able to make some sort of deal that is even sweeter for him if he just resigns.

Exactly right. Plus Trump would use the dropped impeachment to bolster his claims for a coup. If he did not run for president again, he would use it as a money raising tool to fund his own right wing media show, or channel. Either way that becomes a money raising opportunity for Trump.
I know you weren't suggesting Trump would be successful with a "media show", but let me tell you, it would BOMB big time.
The reason right-wing shows are popular with right-wing supporters is that those right-wing shows support people in office or running for office. Trump would be INCAPABLE of supporting other people. His show would be all Trump all the time, and other than the first week to see what it's all about (hell, I would tune in once), it would BOMB. He is popular with right-wing people now because he's the President and they will support him to support him and piss off liberals. No one loves Trump like he thinks they do.
"Remember that great victory we had in 2016..." That would get old even for the Trumpiest of Trumpers.
Once Trump is out of office, widespread "love" for him is over.
Boom! We have another Flagpolian Flop.
Permanent ceasefire. The Nobel Peace Prize should go to Trump.

As I am a Rule of Law person, I will accept any court decision regarding Trump's taxes, and of course I KNOW that Trump is the worst President of our country ever and a horrid human being who would be going to hell if hell were real, but since giving tax history has NOT been a requirement to run for President, I do not think he should have to provide them. BUT, again, if a court determines that he does have to, I will accept that.
What needs to happen in the future is that there needs to be a law that candidates must provide their tax returns.
Boom!
Hitler and Hirohito should also have won the Nobel Peace Prize after signing documents ending WW2.
Now, address your latest flop. Admit that you were wrong. Eat your crow.

in a lifetime of dumb posts, this ranks high. I think. Maybe I'm missing something.
Did FP say that Russia and Turkey would never take over northern syria after killing many Kurds?
What promise of FP did this break? It seems to be exactly what Trump's critics feared: Russia and Turkey killing US allies and winding up controlling more ME territory.
