It certainly won't be hard for NYS prosecutors to go after trump. It will be a path to fame and electoral glory in that state. 'I took down Trump' will get someone elected many, many times.

Good questions!!
6% growth? It's amazing how Trump and Republicans constantly complained about the economy under Obama never reaching 3 % for a year. Well, here we are under Trump and he's never gotten to 3% and likely not to do it this year. If fact, he borrowed current growth at the expense of future generations with his tax cut and still hasn't achieved 3%. The hypocrisy is amazing.

The above does not seem like much of a prediction unless it is fine tuned a bit. Trump WILL die. When he does, you can say that your "prediction" was correct since he would have gone to prison except that he died first.
So, care to be more specific so that the statement/prediction is not automatically true?

Trump is trying to force interest rates into negative territory. Minus 4% interest rates will lead him to 6% growth.
We all need to be very prepared for some really desperate measures from Trump as we head into the election. Among the things I could see him doing are:
- openly recommending Russia to harm his rival’s chances
- direct GOP election funds toward creating damaging conspiracy theories and fake news
- obstructing justice as Dems continue looking into his criminality

And in case you missed my larger point, I'm not sure that our current justice system is set up for such an unusual path to prosecution. It will probably require some legislation, which in itself might tear the country further apart rather than allowing us to heal.
There will be great temptation to just let him off the hook like Ford did for Nixon. I don't think Tiny will be pardoned. But it's going to be very hard to actually prosecute him.

I think you are right that it will be much easier to prosecute at the state level. But I'm not sure if the states will have strong cases against him.
Maybe that will be the compromise our nation can live with. Tiny just spends 10 to 12 months in state prison for financial crimes.
- start a war
- block access to polling places
- threaten to arrest people on their way to the polls
- hire hackers to break into election systems
- worse things we haven't even thought of
Who would stop him from doing any of the above?

Trump will do anything he can to stay in power, because he knows he faces prison when he is no longer President.
I agree, but I wonder how that will actually play out.
The next president won't direct the justice department to prosecute the ex-president. Even leaving it up to the AG to look into it will smell of third-world-dictator-style political retribution.
We might need an independent commission of some sort to look through his crimes and make recommendations. We will need some respected Republicans to go along and join the commission. Maybe a retired senator or two. As much as he deserves to be strung up for treason, we will need to bend over backwards to make sure that he is treated fairly.
I wonder too. I imagine he could be prosecuted for state crimes without too much trouble. I agree that he needs to be treated fairly. Fair can't mean absence of possible punishment though. He should be treated as any other business person/politician who got caught doing illegal things. If he has lawyers that get him off with no jail time, then so be it, but there had better be a prosecutor who will at least look into every thing very carefully with a real eye toward possible prosecution. The Trump Organization is a criminal enterprise, and he's the leader, and it and he should be treated accordingly.
I'm fine with prison. I hope he lives a long life.

He would be..um.."taken out" at this point. SS can't stop everything.

This is spot on.
He had all of the momentum of employment gains and threw in a big tax cut while times were good and still didn't hit 3% growth promising much higher growth to pay for the tax cuts.
Part of that result is because he sabotaged himself with the trade wars which constrict the economy.
He couldn't get out of his own way.
If he did no tweeting, no policy changes and only golfed every day we'd be doing better and he'd easily get re-elected.
But he can't control himself and has constant low approval ratings to show for it.
During Flagpole's vacation, Trump spent about 100% of his non-executive time trying to justify his Dorien Alabama tweet.
One of the saddest parts of the partisan gap right now...is that the ability to determine objective reality is shrinking. People's view on the economy is determined largely by their political party. Rs thought the economy was garbage during Obama, and now they think it is good. Ds think the economy is garbage now but good under Obama.
Some of that is just playing with the pollsters in order to feel good about being on team blue/team red, but it's also absurd and disappointing.
trump will be arresting Dem politicians and bureaucrats during the runup to the election...he'll do his best to make it look like the deep state is engineering a coup and trump will arrest people to create the impression of a coup. McGahn is a test case.
Trump will tell stories of millions of illegal voters. He will get close to the military. He will make wild threats.
Basically all the 3rd world dictator stuff - he's going to do. And it will work to some degree.
Trump (and most in the R party) don't really believe in fair play democracy - they believe that doing whatever they can to win is the right way to do it. hence the NC assembly nakedly stealing votes, hence NC R candidates openly cheating in eleections, hence all the gerrymandering, etc.
I believe the phrase is "Democrats lose again!"

The House is continuing and even stepping up its investigations into Trump's corruption. The Emoluments Clause violation is serious as are the many instances of Obstruction of Justice. That's not even all they are looking at.
Time will tell.

Good grief. I'm not trying to get away with anything here. Trump is being investigated right now for a multitude of criminal behaviors. These are investigations that will lead to him going to prison...unless he dies first. Just like Epstein would have been convicted, but he died first. If Trump lives to 100 and is never convicted of anything so that he never goes to jail, I am not going to claim I was right. Remember, I have 100% integrity 100% of the time.
Trump will be impeached is a prediction. Trump WILL be impeached IS a guarantee. Trump will go to prison is a prediction. Trump WILL go to prison IS a guarantee. Trump will die in prison is a prediction. Trump WILL die in prison IS a guarantee.

Another word for integrity is probity, which is sometimes known as decency. A grown man calling women "whores" is not someone I would characterize as decent.
