I'm still deciding on this issue. Clinton was impeached and it was meaningless and his popularity grew. My main wish is for Trump to be out of office. At some point he does need to be accountable. Maybe the court system after he is out of office will be less of a partisan circus.
I disagree that Clinton's popularity grew after he was impeached for covering up a sex act in the White House.
I'm not concerned about the 2020 election.
If Trump is re-elected I'd be stunned.
"Clinton's job approval rating ranged from 36% in mid-1993 to 64% in late 1993 and early 1994.[1] In his second term, his rating consistently ranged from the high-50s to the high-60s.[1][2] After his impeachment proceedings in 1998 and 1999, Clinton's rating reached its highest point at 73% approval.[3] He finished with a Gallup poll approval rating of 65%,[4] higher than that of every other departing president measured since Harry Truman."
I was stunned once in 2016. I don't want to be stunned again in 2020. I don't want to take any chances.
Never underestimate Vladimir Putin. He is a master of illegal cyber-activities and very effective misinformation and propaganda. And, the Republicans have block legislation to beef up election security. Donald is OK with how things went last time and is not pushing increased security.
Also remember the election is not based on the majority vote.
Don't take anything for granted.
(PS I know there are many differences between Clinton and his situation and Trump....but still....)
