Actually i was being too kind. If I want to call it like it is, trump is one of the biggest $hitstains in American history.

That email is straight out of the 1990s. Monotype font. Character limit per line. Asterisks. An incredibly poor fake job.
I'm a European (not Danish) and when I read that idea of buying Greenland I seriously tought that was a joke. Even if I believe for long that Trump is crazy and a fool, this is so laughtable I really thought it was the media that were making up some funny buzz from nothing. But no, Trump obviously heard some day that there was a place called Greenland with likely many interesting minerals and woke up the day after with this idea that it would be cool to buy it, that it would be a cool legacy and that Denmark would happily say "oh yes, we'll sell you 50k citizens and a big land" like if it was an empty house. WTF? It's 2019, not the 1800's!
I really feel sorry for the Americans because it must be so embarrassing for them. I don't know how much you realize that most of the world is making fun of that president. I'm concerned that the Democrats are having difficulties to find a candidate that most can agree on, because this joke has to stop in 2020.
Joe Biden is what we need because he is the anti-trump. A good guy who is normal.
Hair sniffer.
I don't think the idea is totally absurd. There's historical precedence for the US buying land and Greenland has a lot of strategic value. Putting a price tag on it would be tough but that's business, and if we weren't running such a colossal deficit already then I'd probably be more for it. The money would probably be way better spent repairing our own infrastructure first.
Trump is an idiot, sure, but I'm don't think I'm against the US expanding peacefully and responsibly as long as we're taking care of the business here as well.

Pocahontas . . . blatantly lied about her heritage.
No, she didn't: She was mistaken.
.
My father was from the backwoods of Maine. He'd been told that he was part American Indian, and told us kids the same--and looking at his coloring and that of one of my sisters, it was easy to believe.
My sister and I did 23 and Me and it turns out that we (and perforce Dad) apparently have no Indian blood at all.
.
A lie is a false statement intended to deceive. Dad didn't lie to us, and his parents didn't lie to him; they sincerely believed they were speaking truly. Similarly, Warren was told that she was part Indian--which, in Oklahoma, is practically the default for a "white" family that's been there awhile. Her parents didn't "lie" to her and she didn't "lie" when repeating the falsehood; they were simply mistaken.
.
I find plenty to criticize in Warren's politics, but she did NOT "blatantly lie[ ] about her heritage." That is simply false.
CORRECT!

Exactly.
The progressives don't get through the primary.
Your saying they never win major elections is moot because they are never on the ballot.
I believe that Warren will get on the ballot and she will win.
And I wonder if Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016.

The moderates are not backing Bernie, nor Pocahontas in the general election. Creepy Uncle Joe will be your nominee and he will become a three time loser for POTUS.
America will NOT elect a socialist candidate for POTUS in 2020.
America will not make illegal aliens first.

Now who are we going to make fun of?
So, I haven't posted since sometime yesterday and you think that means I've been run off the board?
Umm...NOPE!
I will post, as always, either when there's something interesting going on or when someone needs to hear some truth. You needed some truth just now.
Nothing terribly interesting going on with respect to the topic of this thread.
Trump continues to fall in the polls.
Trump continues to prove that he is unhinged.
The House continues its impeachment investigation.
Those supporting Trump continue to ONLY be JUST stupid or racist.
So, ho-hum for now.
Just a coincidence that it coincided with you being destroyed by Fat Hurts.
Right.
Continue to hang your head in shame.
Trump keeps asking for Russia to be added back to the G7 and make it the G8 again.
Are you OK with that?

well that's a novel argument
'progressives have fewer supporters in the Democratic party than moderates therefore progressives will do better in a presidential election'
it's a novel political theory, I'll give you that.
looks like the scaramucci defection and all the other defections are starting to rattle GOP donors. they are calling around looking for someone to primary spanky.
Wapo:
Joe Walsh, a pugnacious former congressman, is preparing a Republican primary challenge to President Trump that he previewed as a daily “bar fight” with the incumbent over his morality and competency.
Mark Sanford, a former South Carolina governor and congressman, said he is inching closer to a bid of his own by sounding out activists in New Hampshire and other early-voting states about an insurgency focused on the ballooning deficit.
Jeff Flake, a former Arizona senator and Trump antagonist, said he has taken a flurry of recruitment calls in recent days from GOP donors rattled by signs of an economic slowdown and hungry for an alternative to Trump.
And former Ohio governor John Kasich will head to New Hampshire next month to “take a look at things” after experiencing “an increase” in overtures this summer, an adviser said.

Nobody cares.
Let's focus on a real topic. The American consumer for one. Have you seen the blowout numbers for Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Lowes today? No recession anytime soon.

In principle, I agree.
But it's absurd to think that Denmark would go along with it. And it's absurd to think that the people who live there would go long with it unless they were all richly compensated.
Greenland is very valuable and it would be great if it were part of the US. But you can say that about almost any land mass in the world.
This whole fiasco is just another example of why Tiny is terrible at business. Not only is it the dumbest real estate idea in history, he couldn't even keep it a secret. And secrecy is paramount when negotiating a big land deal.
Joe Walsh is a nobody, Flake is kind of a loser, and Sanford is a disgraced former South Carolina governor (anyone remember his "hiking trips" on the "Appalachian Trail"?). I could see Kasich though. He seems reasonable but I believe his track record with women's rights legislation isn't great in Ohio if I recall correctly. Plus he still runs on the whole "balanced budget" thing which most people realize is kind of a dumb idea for a country after they pass sophomore year of college.

Do you think Bernie may have beaten Trump in 2016?
A lot of people voted for Trump because of a strong dislike for Hillary and a lot of Bernie supporters did not vote for Hillary or Trump.
