Thought of the day: The FL panhandle is one of the most conservative areas in the country. It is direclty below Alabama.
That region of FL has turned the entire state red. If that region were part of its geographic mate Alabama, FL would be a blue state and we would not have had Bush2 and maybe no Spanky either.
The R party would have had to change a long time ago, and would not have turned into a whites-only ethnic pride party.
Such small things can change the course of history.
Agip - no worries. According to Morning Joe and those on his "show", Texas is about to turn blue and you Liberals will own the electoral college for the next 40 years. With Calif, NY and Texas the Repubs won't have a shot at all in winning the electoral college.

I know. I know. You have alternative facts.
When all else fails to get Trump on:
Stormy
Impeachment
Russian Collusion
Obstruction
Indictment
Now the Dems try to pull the race card on Trump, it's the new "collusion."

You can say that about a number of state lines.
All you're saying is that if we went by popular vote, we would not have Bush 2 or Trump.

Sadly, I will be VERY surprised if Trump serves jail time though I definitely believe he deserves to...for his very likely criminal financial behavior (see Felix Sater) and for his likely involvement in collusion or at least attempted collusion with the Russians. What we will see though is a Trump who doesn't finish his first term...he will resign before it's over and blame everyone and their brother. ZERO chance he finishes his first term.
Hi Clownpole!
I too think this sounds very much like Flagpole. He must be in hiding. His guarantee for the Trump impeachment landed on the ever-growing stack of unfulfilled guarantees that Flagpole has guaranteed in the past. First, he guaranteed that Trump would not win. Wrong. Next, he said Trump would be brought down by Mueller and Co. Wrong. He also said that Kavanghau would not win confirmation. Wrong. He also said Mueller's testimony before Congress would be Trump's undoing. Wrong. Finally, he said Trump would be impeached. Wrong. I forgot a few but the list is too long and my fingers tire.

About that area of Florida: Pete Kostelnick completed his 5000 miles plus, less than 100 days, run from the end of the westernmost road in Alaska (Kenai) to the end of the southernmost road in Florida (end of the Florida Keys). Peter ran mostly through red states on his route. He stated that the area he felt was by far the most unsafe to run through was down central Florida. Worse than Alaskan bears. Worse than unfenced dogs which chased him. Worse than drivers who buzzed him along the roads. Worse than people who verbally abused him as he ran. Central Florida is one of the ugliest and least safe parts of the USA.

You have so much anger as well. Your blood pressure must be pumping through the roof. If 100,000 illegals are crossing the border every month, IT IS an invasion. An invasion is an incursion by a large number of people. Over a million illegals crossing the border would definitely qualify as an invasion. Your definition of an invasion is very sophomoric. Are you 12?
As we have seen, calling it an invasion leads to violence. Remember the words of Patrick Crusius:
This attack is a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas. They are the instigators, not me. I am simply defending my country from cultural and ethnic replacement brought on by an invasion.
If you see immigrants as invaders instead of seeing them as refugees then you stand with Patrick Crusius.
If your response to poor migrants from Central America is to greet them with walls and armies instead of kindness and hospitality then you stand with Patrick Crusius.
Look inside yourself. If you are filled with hate instead of love then you stand with Patrick Crusius. You need to make a change.

Flagpole is wrong about the criteria for being a Trumpette. It is not "racist or stupid". What Trumpettes have in common is that they are all victims in their own minds. Every single one of them is a victim.
I agree with you with one exception. There is a small percentage of trump supporters who are the financial elite and it could be argued that they simply voted for the own best interests.
Speaking of unbecomming for a president (from today's tweets):
Just watched a world class loser, Tim O’Brien, who I haven’t seen or spoken to in many years, & knows NOTHING about me except that he wrote a failed hit piece book about me 15 years ago. Fired like a dog from other jobs? Saw him on Lyin’ Brian Williams Trump Slam Show. Bad TV....
This is truly insane. I've never heard of Tim O'Brein and can't understand why Trump could give a crap about whatever it was he said. If he had ignored him it wouldn't have cost him a single vote.

Sally you will have to move to a safe place to Trumpettes like you. You better move now before prices go up. Texas is no longer safe. Florida is no longer safe. West Virginia is not safe because they keep election democratic senators in the most red of all the red states--they can't be trusted to vote the "right" way.
We can't accept every person who wants to come here. We can try to accept many who come here but we can't accept everybody. The country can not support them. If they go through the proper channels, I am all for having them come to the country. But do we accept 5 million people from Honduras? 10 million from El Salvador? When is enough enough? We are 21 trillion in debt. How can we accommodate another 20 million refugees? And, I will try to quit calling them illegals. Many are indeed refugees.

Alan, once and for all - and please try to digest this - it was NOT a Muslim ban. If it was a Muslim ban, Indonesia would have been included. Because you know what, Alan - Indonesia has more Muslims than ANY OTHER country. No other country has as many Muslims as Indonesia. But Indonesia was not included on that list of banned countries. Do you know why, Alan? Because Indonesia is not a hotbed of terrorists. Indonesia is not a breeding ground for Muslim terrorists like the countries on that banned list.
The actual ban was only structured that way in order to pass muster with the courts.
Tiny wanted a full Muslim ban. That's what he said he wanted and there is no room for doubt.
Tiny hates people based on both race AND religion. He's an equal opportunity slime ball.

Please elaborate how it's structuring excluded Indonesia. Why did Indonesia's exclusion help it pass muster with the courts?

Check the spread in TX over the last 8 presidential elections. What is the trend? What was the gap between Beto and Cruz compared to Cruz's last elections?
The spread in TX is about 5%. Same as Indiana.
TX is shifting to the left because of immigration and the GOP immigration policy's IE The Wall.
It's a long shot in 2020, but the US is becoming a minority white Caucasian country. If the GOP doesn't shift their policies they will lose the Southwest for good, including TX.
Alan
The questions you ask do have answers. But we can't work toward the answers as long as the right is just spewing hatred toward poor, helpless refugees.
Will you also stop calling it an "invasion"?

Let me get this straight. Texas is shifting to the left because many Texans want to follow rules and the Constitution and secure the effing border? They want immigration to be done methodically and not by having a million people cross the border each year? Alan, are you a law and order person? I know you were military. Do you not respect laws? Should we not adhere to laws? Or should we ignore them like all the sanctuary cities do? Please do tell.
