What does truth matter when too few even want to hear it? What does truth matter when impeachment is a political process largely reliant on public support for success? Trump is an above the law POTUS, and he’s on because both the masses who voted for him and his party want it. I’ve come to terms with that long ago.
The way our system is right now, the President of the United States, ANY President, is above the law. Normal citizens don't get to not be indicted just because of the job we hold.
It is hopeful that there will be new rules in place following this insanely criminal President who has made new rules a necessity. These rules should include the stated ability to indict a sitting president of crimes. These rules should include a freeze on statute of limitations as soon as a person becomes President though the former might eliminate the need for the latter.
While Trump is currently above the law at least with regard to delaying justice, I still believe he will face the music. He will go to prison...unless he dies first or there is criminal or space aliens behavior that prevents it.
