Flagpole wisdom: “3) The people who would have been the skilled manufacturer labor force today instead go into careers in IT, telecommunications, renewable energy, etc. Decently smart people who want an above-average salary for 2-4 years of college.”
Forget bringing back manufacturing furniture, like what was once done in North Carolina. What we really need is better trained baristas. Baristas to serve drinks and converse with the IT, telecommunications and renewable energy workers. Together they can discuss what is best for America, of course they know better than those disgusting WalMart people. The cool workers (anointed class) can help underwrite the write-off of student loan debt incurred by the baristas social science degrees, oh and learning abroad. Learning abroad is essential to the worldly education of a well-rounded barista.
You were sailing along very smoothly until the Obama comment... 1/10

Iggy wisdom - build a wall to keep the white trash in and the cheap labor out

Well they haven’t subpoenaed him yet. They’ve just asked nicely :). He’s going to testify and it’s going to be how Congress wants. He’s a rule of law kind of guy. He has no reason to fight a subpoena.
Has ANY administration in history ignored so many subpoenas? I know Nixon and Clinton fought their fair share but I don’t think it was this many.
Eventually those ignoring subpoenas will be found in contempt of Congress and jailed, or fight it out in court and jailed. You can’t ignore Congressional subpoenas forever without consequences. You can’t obstruct Congressional Oversight and not look guilty of something.
While we’re at it, both the RCP and 538 averages are trending downward and there’s really no big reason for them to. The RCP avg should really worry Trump supporters as that one is typically higher and it’s at 42% now.
Trump is running his mouth about wanting to charge people with treason. He’s running his mouth about wanting a 3rd, 4th or 5th term. And his supporters are ok with this sort of despotism?

Manufacturing jobs are dead. I know Trump wants us to cling to this 1950s ideal America where we made stuff but we have moved on from that. Technology and cheap labor overseas means it makes little sense to make stuff in this country.

It’s a tough position for Mueller - all he can do to protect his objectivity is to try to stay away from the cameras. What I find more curious is why he’s still going into the office every day. What is he doing?
Your social science degree and student loans have served you well.
Now get to work and get that Facebook employee his Vente Double Latte. And, kiss his ass you need him.
It’s just an emotional bridge to the non skilled mouth breathers who can’t compete and now have those disgusting migrants to blame. Deep down they know they have been left behind with those jobs but Trump was able to tickle their little pea brains so they love him.
Of course that is globalist belief system. Robotics and the cost of transporting goods to this country makes that not necessarily true. Last thing this country needs is more plastic crap that ends up in a landfill.

Obama frequented gay bathhouses in Chicago. Very high standards, indeed!

Good thing we have you to make all the “right” decisions for all the pea brain citizens.

Did Trump ever produce a birth certificate proving his claim that his New York born father was actually born in Germany?

Trump banged his daughter for decades. Since she was a little girl of 11-12; whichever Trump said his "dating" requirement was for little girls.

Obviously in some way you are trying to invalidate what I have said but you are so bad at it that I actually have no idea what you are trying to say. Let me take a stab though, but I fully admit that due to your inability to communicate clearly that I may be way off.
1) There isn't manufacturing that the US can just "bring back". Manufacturing has been on the decline in this country (as a percentage of the total workforce) for decades...part of the maturing of our country. As a result of this steady and predictable decline, people have stopped considering manufacturing as a career move in the US. Contrary to popular belief, not all manufacturing jobs are for people with a low level of education and skill.
2) The United States is currently the SECOND LARGEST MANUFACTURER IN THE WORLD behind China (and China is starting to lose some of that business to some more newly industrialized nations in other parts of Asia and also Australia). That's actually pretty good for a country where many believe manufacturing is dead.
3) Still unclear what your point is, but it is absolutely true that those manufacturing jobs of the past have been replaced by people in the industries I mentioned.
4) Don't get into a debate with me about manufacturing. I know more about manufacturing than all the people who post here combined. It's what I do for a living...business consulting for manufacturing companies, and I've been doing it for decades. I know the stats. I know the trends. I know the misinformation about manufacturing that is out there.
Ghost means well, but he’s just old & bitter. These types are too busy waving the flag to realize they’re traitors who don’t remember their lessons in the Constitution from 60 years ago. Trump’s a traitor, ride that train if you want.

This is going into the Flagpole's Greatest Hits Archive under the "I Am Very Smart" section.
I know its an off cycle election but Keller got 68% of the vote last night. In 2016 the Republican only got 62%, guess people in PA like having their jobs back!!
