Here is what I came away with after seeing all the Comey stuff yesterday:
1) Trump doesn't follow standard protocols (that in and of itself isn't necessarily bad or good).
2) If the conversations went as Comey described them (and I believe they likely either did or were very close to how he described them), it is perhaps a little bit alarming (even a lot alarming), but I don't see how impeachment proceedings could begin just based on what Comey has said.
3) If I were to put on a partisan hat, I could easily say that what Trump did was obstruction of justice, but I do always look at things fairly, and as close to the line as Trump has been here (I mean, he said he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation and then told the Russians that that lifted some pressure from him, and it DOES appear he was pressuring Comey to drop the investigation of Flynn), he never gave Comey an ultimatum, so I find it hard to believe that just based on what we saw yesterday that anyone is now eager to begin impeachment proceedings who wasn't already clamoring for them before.
I believe Trump is far and away the worst president we have ever had and that he is not a good person and not a smart person, but impeachment is very serious and shouldn't be taken lightly. So far, with what we know, I don't see a case for impeachment. That could change of course.
