It devolved a long time ago.
But what's good about the thread is that it's not people just going to sites and people that they agree with.
You get the perspective of different points of views.
I like seeing the rationale of people like Sally Vix and the pure tribalism of Rigged for Hillary.
Then you get a third party voter like Runningart who comes off as liberal because he criticizes Trump.
I'm probably the most liberal regular here.
But interestingly, you don't seem to be getting traditional Republicans posting here.
Trump does not act like any traditional Republican and his idealism is not conservative.
A lot of Republicans support him out of their dislike for Democrats.
But I don't see them articulating the issues they have Trump here at all. They can't like the insults to McCain. They can't like the tariffs. And they can't like the tweets and his general uncivil approach to everything.
I don't see how they like him being so cozy with Putin and disparaging our European allies.
And on top of that, many see potential illegal activities that he may have done and actually want him to get away wit it. Kind of a yeah, prove it attitude.
But in the end, yes, we devolve to a back-and-forth where we talk past each other. At least there is perspective to learn from.
For one, I really thought that his election had more to do with hate for Hillary than anything.
But he actually strengthened his base. He hasn't grown it one bit but they are fiercely loyal and will vote for him again given the opportunity no matter who the opponent is. Not even another Republican in the primary, which is a bit shocking. What happened to the Republican party?
