The biggest signature achievement of the Trump administration and the Congressional Republican majority of his first two years was the tax cut.
Well, since they over adjusted the tax withholding tables at the beginning of 2018, millions of Americans are getting smaller tax refunds or now owe more than usual.
As a result, many are adjusting their W4s to withhold more now.
That means smaller paychecks than last year.
That gives a psychological negative and less money to spend into the economy for each paycheck.
I see payroll changes at my company and keep seeing employees change their tax withholding to take out more tax over the last month.
I think it is a nationwide trend as well.
