Our libraries in Arkansas are full of titles like “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” blah blah. Never saw the rage, but I saw lots of enraged racists who didn’t like him.
It's too bad you post the way you do. I'd bet dimes to dollars that you're a fairly nice guy in real life and above average in intelligence. But it's posts like that are what make you look ugly. Obama won, twice, be happy about it.
If the US was truly more racist than years ago, he could have never been elected as there are more whites than any other race in this country. Calling people racist because you voted for him and someone didn't is simply put, wrong. What do you call an African American who didn't vote for Obama? Yes, about 7% didn't.
One could suggest that you voted for him "because" he's black. That's no more right or wrong than what you are saying.
Again, I'd bet you a super guy in person but using race like that is wrong friend.
I'm white and I live in the Midwest. I don't know one white person who was enraged that he won, not one. I know many African Americans as well that were happy that he won and some who hated Bush and some who hated Clinton.
This thread could be more civil without the word "race" being thrown around all the time.
