I worked Border Patrol for 14 years until December of 2017. I work at the Michigan post now in downtown Detroit near the tunnel and bridge. It's bad, really bad.

Don't believe me, go to the border near San Diego and watch illegals cross within 1/2 mile of that post late in the night. I don't know, but I'm assuming you don't live anywhere near the border because if you did, you wouldn't be looking at it the way you appear to.

You asked and said it was a serious question, so I gave you a serious answer. I haven't been on this site for long, but from what I've read it's just a lot of "back and forth" name calling, hence I'm not expecting a mature response from more than a couple posters.

it's a lot of name calling and 90% of the "trumpers" are just trolling, yes.

I'd just say that all statistics show falling illiegal immigration rates and falling numbers of illegals in the country. Along with falling crime rates. That sort of thing does not ring the 'emergency' bell for me.

The better, more constitutional, solution is to wisely spend money on tech and people...not on a wall that can be scaled with a simple ladder. I mean if they can't stop the flow over the walls in populated areas, how will a wall help when the nearest border control agent is 20 miles away? Also a serious question.

That's funny. Seems odd that the people who do live near the border are HUGELY against the wall and almost universally say that the situation isn't "bad, really bad".
