And his crimes were committed WAY before he was Trump's campaign chairman. Please don't live the relevant facts out. You are purposely misleading.
There is nothing misleading about it. The court documents are quite clear. Our president chose as his campaign chairman a man who was found GUILTY of CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE UNITED STATES.
That's the kind of people he chooses.
He also KNOWINGLY chose a foreign agent as our national security advisor.
We could go on and on about the corrupt people who were shamed out of his cabinet (and some who are still there).
Yep. At a MINIMUM it shows that Trump is NOT capable of hiring "the best people".
Trump has said glowing things about nearly all the people around him even after they were indicted, UNTIL they turned on him, and of course in hopes that they would show some loyalty to him.
Obama warned Trump NOT to hire Michael Flynn. Trump just does not listen to anyone.
Back to Manafort. His criminality is bad for Trump since Trump hired him. Just doesn't look good, especially since there are so many other associates who are in legal hot water.
Trump and Manafort have known each other since the 1980s. They didn't just meet in 2016.
Manafort was present at the Trump Tower Meeting.
Manafort was in the Grand Havana meeting with Gates and Konstantin Kilimnik. A meeting after which each of them left through separate doors showing they knew what they were doing was not legal. Gates, of course, is cooperating with Mueller, and the judge has called Manafort a liar.
Was the Trump Tower meeting and its purpose unknown to Trump?
Was the perhaps even more damning Grand Havana meeting and its purpose unknown to Trump? We don't publicly know the reason for the Grand Havana meeting, but it sure looks sketchy when they all left separately.
Trump was a client of Manafort and Stone's shady consulting firm in the 1990s.
Manafort has a condo in Trump Tower and has since 2006.
Manafort is just one piece of the puzzle, and all the puzzle pieces are bad for Trump.
