Ha! I have long ago admitted I was wrong about Kavanaugh. Big deal. This thread is about Trump, and my promise of the Biggest I Told You So in the history of Lestrun (which was the question asked) was made regarding Trump.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
What if Mueller has a heart attack or gets in a car crash or something and dies before the report? He obviously won't be coming then, so would such a scenario mean that you're wrong about that? Or do you count Mueller's team and his work up until now as a sort of abstract embodiment of Mueller? Just trying to help you cover all bases
THAT is solid thinking, and I DO appreciate the thought behind it.
Technically I have said (at least twice I think), "Mueller is coming". That is true and has been every time I have said that.
I have said more than once that anything borne of Mueller's investigation he still gets credit for (stuff sent to the SDNY or any other DOJ office for example). I didn't specifically mention the condition you laid out there, but I do believe it would be fair to say he is still coming (or he arrived) if the work he oversaw comes to a conclusion after he is dead. I'm sure someone would not agree with that just to try to make me wrong (which I won't be), but to get it on the record, I will state that in that case, it would still be so.
You have to go with the basic meaning of any prediction. I bring up space aliens as an extreme example of something completely ridiculous that might happen so as to cover all bases. I mean, if it were sea monsters instead of space aliens that made Trump a free man or made him win a second term, would I be wrong? I suppose technically, but everyone and their brother would know that I was really right...same is true about my 2016 election prediction. While I DID give the caveat that he can't be declared to have won if there was cheating (or space aliens made us vote for him), some here don't believe me because I think I only wrote it twice while I wrote that he wouldn't win many times, and they believe I would lie about something like that, which I would never do. It should really be a given though that if someone wins as the result of cheating that they then didn't really win. We take Olympic gold medals away from cheaters, and they are stricken from the books as winners. Same should be true with Presidents...and that was an analogy I made in that 2016 election thread which unfortunately has been deleted.
So, there are an innumerable number of possibilities that could happen, and there is no way I could possibly account for all of them. Sans something fantastical, or his death, or illegal activity, Donald Trump will not finish his term, and he will spend time in prison eventually. That's the prediction.
