Gov Andrew Cuomo defends the NY radical abortion law: "I am a former altar boy." Wow, from altar boy to baby killer, now that’s a career change.

Yeah, Trump's wrong about that--but hey, what's new? Most of his followers wouldn't know.
I wasn't a huge fan of El Paso and was glad to be out, but crime in the city was not a major reason why.
Those of us who've lived on the border also know how useless a wall would be on a lot of it. (Most of the places where a barrier would be helpful...already have one.) We know there's no "crisis" at the border.
But again, Trump's followers don't know that. They like the idea of anything that will keep nasty brown folks who DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH out of the country.

A career change but moves him up into the upper echelons of Democrats. They will treat him as a savior.
Question for Democrats/Liberals here ... Do you support Infanticide? Because your party is becoming like the Nazis where they killed everyone who was not blue-eyed.

Here is exactly what he said ...
"Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam is facing backlash after he voiced his support for a state measure that would significantly loosen restrictions on late-term abortions.
The only person who refers to himself this way when he is talking is Trump. The royal "we".

"... done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that's nonviable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen," Northam, a pediatric neurosurgeon, told Washington radio station WTOP. "The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."
The bill -- which among other things would end a state rule that requires at least three physicians confirm "that a third trimester abortion is necessary to prevent the woman's death or impairment of her mental or physical health" and ends "the need to find that any such impairment to the woman's health would be substantial and irremediable" -- is currently tabled in Virginia's legislature."
That is how it has been done in the U.S. (app states) for a long time now -- non-viable births. At no time did he call for infanticide.
He said the infant would be delivered. Not a dead fetus. A viable infant would be delivered and then extinguished.

To return to this thread's actual topic....
THANK YOU! Can we PLEASE not turn this into another boring abortion thread? On those, no one EVER changes someone else's mind.
This thread is supposed to be about DONALD TRUMP.
Infanticide is about Donald Trump. Trumpers want their non-viable baby--Trump--to forcibly remain alive in the White House. Even if that means mummifying him after death so he can still be worshipped, and groveled to.
I am unclear on this legislation. Is it banning teaching about abstinence as one of many options for birth control or is simply banning programs that teach abstinence as the sole option for birth control?

Let’s use some common sense:
1. You shouldn’t be allowed to get an abortion without a valid medical reason or in cases of rape/incest.
2. The decision to abort should be based on a sound medical decision between the mother and doctor no matter when it is during the pregnancy.
If you have 10 kids and get knocked up sorry bout your luck. You live with the consequences of your decision.
If the fetus isn’t viable or endangers your life or is a result of rape or incest then you should have the option to end the pregnancy.
Common sense.
Alan
I love how you present YOUR opinion as "common sense". It is very easy to poke holes in your position.
1) Most who oppose abortion start with the idea that the not-yet-born is a human being and deserving of the same rights and protections as other human beings. With that in mind, how is killing them "in cases of rape/incest" justified? The not-yet-born should not be held accountable for the heinous act of rape/incest. It is not the not-yet-born who should pay for that crime with a death sentence.
2) Most who support a woman's right to choose an abortion reject the notion that the not-yet-born is a human being and deserving of the same rights and protections as other human beings. With that in mind, how is it "common sense" to impose your ill-defined restriction requiring a "valid medical reason" in order to terminate the pregnancy.
Sorry, but your post is nothing more than wishful thinking. There is no common sense solution to this issue. That's just the way it is.

Meanwhile you present YOUR opinion as the only "common sense".

Yes. At least up to age 15.
Those early teen years can be difficult.

Incorrect. He/she/both/neither is pro-forcing their views on others. That is "un"common sense.

Nope. Never did.
But that was a pretty good effort for a moron like yourself.
Good job!

Indeed you did. Common sense is all you need to see "your" quoted position.
This contradiction comes directly from the unholy alliance between Evangelicals and the Republican party. Evangelicals gave up their historical Christian commitment to the poor in exchange for Republican support of a pro-life agenda.
As always happens, when church and state are intertwined, it is the church that loses. The merger happened during the Reagan campaign. Republicans didn't care one way or the other about abortion. George H.W. Bush was even on the board of Texas Planned Parenthood. But he had no problem giving up his pro-choice stance to run with Reagan.
Evangelicals gave up something very precious. They gave up the moral high ground on social justice. And now as you correctly point out, the Evangelical movement is hopelessly hypocritical.
Let's be clear: You can make this stuff up--but with this guy, you don't have to.
