As this gets looked back on in history, people will be wondering how in the world Trump continued in office for so long.
That's what I though about Nixon, looking back at the details.
The Watergate break in happened in the summer of 1972.
The Washington Post reported a lot of details about that and the connection to Nixon on a regular basis.
Nixon did not step down until two years later.
The reporting of Russian meddling in our election happened before the election occurred.
Obama put sanctions on Russia after the election because of clear evidence.
Flynn discussed sanctions with Russia before the inauguration. The public was made aware of this within a week of Trump's swearing in.
Trump replaced the acting AG who told Trump about this and replaced her with Sessions.
The Trump fired Comey for not backing off of Flynn about this Russian thing and admits this in a national TV interview with Lester Holt.
All of that led to the Muller investigation just a few months into his presidency.
He seemed to be finished right there but nearly two years later there have been no consequences.
That was before any knowledge about Manafort charges and convictions and everything Cohen related.
And doesn't consider the brash lies to the public which is not illegal or impeachable but despicable.
