A new CNN poll has Trump's approval/disapproval (37/57 percent). From a net -13 to a net -20 in just one month. Even more worrisome for Trump and his base: “The increase in disapproval for the President comes primarily among whites without college degrees, 45% of whom approve and 47% disapprove, marking the first time his approval rating with this group has been underwater in CNN polling since February 2018. OK, if that makes you feel better. Little in this world can be accurately described so simply.
You're right. Very little can be described so simply. That Fox lies, is not a real news station and doesn't have any integrity or decency is one of the blessed things that is simple and easy to understand.

Yep. Fox lies consistently. None of the others do, and if they make a mistake, they own up to it where Fox News doesn't. Just no equivalent to Fox News in terms of lying.
Fox is the most fair and balanced cable news network, because they have people like Smith and Wallace as well as people like Carlson and Hannity. CNN and MSNBC have only liberal anchors.

In your tiny world, only you, or your hero Trump, can be insulted. You fail to see how insulting to others your are by deflecting about Trump with .... but Clinton ... but Obama. So, if you want some respect drop that. And stop posting zerohenge links ... you only embarrass yourself posting links to a site that parallels Putin's propaganda news source, Russia Today.
Yes, I am a Russian agent. So was Obama and Clinton (“I will have flexibility,” re-set button, weak on Ukraine and Syria, and all). It is a vast conspiracy; far greater than you can comprehend. If you are not careful they are starting a Gulag at the old Andersonville prison site. Perfect place for your insanity to be interred.

point well made, except those area all four years old except one from trumpist Giuliani
but I'll agree I overplayed my hand. Opinion people often give false info on TV.
The problem with fox is that the line between news and opinion is blurred, and the fox pundits take lying to a much, much higher level than the minor stuff on the main networks. I mean even this stuff is penny ante.
Brooks falsely saying there is no correlation between primaries and general election results is 1/10
Current Fox headlines saying that the FBI is a corrupt institution in a plot against trump is a 10/10
Leave your nihilism, Igy. You desperately want to say all sides are equally bad for some reason. You know in your heart that is not true. But you harbor some resentment against the left. I dunno - flyover country resentment runs deep?
Igy here.
Here are 18 outrageous ways Trump has suggested he is compromised.
In your mind you equate 'I'll have more flexibility after the election' to all 18 of these.
You aren't being reasonable. You insist on a 'pox on both their houses' because it is really hard to give up on your lifetime views of the world. But here it is.

If you compare them, MSNBC is far more truthful than Fox News. CNN is better still. But none are terribly good:
Fox News
-------------------------
True 10%
Mostly True 12%
Half True 19%
Mostly False 21%
False 29%
Pants on Fire 9%
MSNBC
-----------------------
True 12%
Mostly True 22%
Half True 24%
Mostly False 21%
False 17%
Pants on Fire 4%
CNN
----------------------
True 16%
Mostly True 37%
Half True 20%
Mostly False 9%
False 14%
Pants on Fire 4%
those data are from the pre-trump era. Fox has taken it to a new level since trump took over the GOP and made Fox state TV.
ship,
Of course I don’t believe anything is or has to be bad. Nor do I think living in Idaho colors one’s view. My clients twist my ear on both sides. Most of my running friends would lean your direction. Yet I voted for Obama first term, and several Democratic candidates in November. I think it is much easier for both sides to generalize. I consider my comments here to be relatively mild. I actually see a little more desperation expressed from others in this thread. I have no emotional attachment to President Trump. I just post what comes to mind. Most of the time I avoid posting on this thread; too much real anger expressed. Keep in mind even in your state there are still plenty of Trump supporters. You have a better felling for your mayor than I, but he seems a little too out there. Someone has to pay for all this stuff.
Igy

Maybe the GOP can help pay for that stuff using the Russian donations they so willingly accepted.
McCONnell got a sweet $1,000,000 gift.

carry on. Anger shed like water off a duck's back.
To be fair they are all seeking ratings for higher profits. FOX’s business model focuses on the lowest common denominator, in fact they have a monopoly. Enter Trump and they stooped as low as they needed to secure and capitalize on their market share. The moral integrity of the left leaning outlets hasn’t been tested yet, but given the less corrupted state of the Democratic Party it’s safe to say we won’t likely see CNN do what’s FOX does. FOX is 90% trump’s mouthpiece. Just compare their coverage leading up to the primaries to now - they literally did a 180 on Trump.

Excellent point. Trump and FOX have been screaming that there is equivalence and it’s this easy to draw it. One of these things is definitely like the others. A few of my acquaintances that voted for trump have openly called him an idiot, some from the very beginning and others seem too ashamed and have gone silent to save face. Being proud of voting for Trump is just, well.. pretty fvcking stupid
That is the problem with your view, that is, being proud of your vote. Vote is a decision one made, not something that gets weighed for or against a person. But of course you will never see it for what it is.
A good way to analyze this is to first understand that most of us have preconceived biases, which is what attracts us to specific “news” outlets to begin with. Most of the people glued to CNN and FOX are hardcore Dems and Repubs and instead of watching with any dose of skepticism they are just looking for confirmation that they are right. In other words, these networks are fine tuned to feed our egos and biases. No matter how outrageous the content, people will eat it right up. No different than in how they see the person they voted for, Trump can mostly do no wrong by default. So the real question is, with identity politics being so strong, why would someone lean Republican these days to begin with? Your personal views and morals have to be more aligned with the GOP’s agenda for you to be on “that team”.

The GOP (including these supposed libertarians and tea partiers) is unquestionably more prone to hypocrisy than the Dems. Whatever they were hanging onto as values have long been flushed down the toilet. Like this moron Rand.
