what's happening here is different - it's as if Obama shut down the government until he got funding for obamacare.
it's nutso - totally inappropriate.
if the president wants to spend money on something he has to get it through congress. Congress has the purse strings.
the president is a freaking child.
I keep telling y'all that he has no choice. He isn't acting like a child, he's acting as someone who will lose his job if he doesn't get this.
Plus, Pelosi and Sherman are clowns too.
5 billion on the budget is nothing, but they want to play politics. Well so does Trump. Can't blame him and actually should be impressed that a politician is trying to live up go his campaign promises.
well sorta but not really
Spanks is being taught a lesson - that Congress pays the bills and no one else. The WH doesn't get to order Congress around. Pelosi and Schumer aren't so much worried about their jobs on this one - they want to set a precedent where Trump now understands that the opposition is in control of one chamber, and he has to play nice with them.
If the Dems cave here Trump will hammer them down next time too.
What's supposed to happen is that moderate grumblers in the Senate and House - Republicans - start slinking away from Spanks, so he feels his support starting to crumble. That is happening a little, and it will increase until he feels he has to give way.
