Hey Flagpole, your newbie Cortez thinks they should tax the wealthy at 70% for some green bill. She went on to say that if you keep moving up from where you work you should pay more taxes almost in line from what everyone else makes . My question is why bother having any kind of drive to move up from where you work when their is no gain in the end? Should we just move up on the kindness of our own hearts? No one will want to do anything anymore. I don’t understand the mentality.
O-C is hardly "my newbie". Why do you think I am uber liberal in all ways? I have said several times that Bernie Sanders is too liberal for me regarding fiscal matters, and I do not agree with free college for all.
Let me spell it out for you:
I am UBER liberal on social matters -- women's right to choose, marijuana usage, gay rights, money for ELEMENTARY and SECONDARY education, and while I believe people should be able to practice their own religion without prejudice, I also believe that those who are agnostic or atheist should also be free of that. I am vehemently against anyone who is for prayer in public schools (a ridiculous thing to wish for), and displays of any religious symbols, including the Ten Commandments do not belong on any government property. I also believe in protecting the environment and wildlife, and that should be anyone's goal even if you don't believe in global warming...we still have pollutants in our air and water that are harmful to us, and we should encourage behavior that limits those. Lessening regulations just so corporations can make more money is not a good thing.
I am conservative when it comes to fiscal matters. There isn't a political party EVER in the United States that has acted as fiscally conservative as I am. It is ridiculous that we ever don't have a balanced budget, and while we don't need to wipe out the national debt (some fiscal reasons for NOT doing that), it is way too high, and we do need to tamp it down. My fiscal conservatism does NOT include unduly taxing the wealthy. I strongly believe that not everyone should be paid the same, just as I strongly believe that not everyone should go to college. I have a brother who has a PhD in pharmacology and a law degree, and he is a partner at a huge drug patent law firm. He makes BANK, and he deserves to due to his abilities and his education and work ethic. Not everyone deserves to make even one 20th of what he does. I don't want to share my salary with others who aren't as educated and resourceful as I am either. I do not believe in demonizing rich people.
Finally, do realize the topic of this thread -- TRUMP. You do not need to be an uber liberal to be against Trump. There are many in his own party who are against him, and there are more and more people dropping away every day. The dude is a serial liar and a criminal. YOU know that to be true too. For some reason you believe Hillary Clinton is a bigger criminal than Trump is (which is wrong), and for some reason you believe that it would make any difference if she were. She could be a serial killer who eats her victims, and that would have NOTHING to do with Donald Trump.
Anyway, I suggest you ask questions of people rather that assume you know what they believe in the future.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
