Dennis Hastert was the leader of the House Republicans for many years--longest serving speaker of all-time. Ever heard about that gay pedoohile?
Where are the Never Trumpers?
They were Republicans and general conservatives that would never support Trump.
What is their view on this now?
We keep hearing from liberals like me about Trump's atrocities.
Will these conservatives speak up?
here's the best summary I've seen about why this might be obstruction and why a special counsel is needed.
hint: it's not a witch hunt.
More to the point, the manner in which Trump fired Comey led directly to the special counsel. Trump had made the decision and then instructed Rosenstein to produce the bogus rationale for it (Comey’s botched handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe). Trump then blithely conceded on national television that the real reason was Comey’s handling of the Russia probe. He was either unaware that this might be a problem, or didn’t care, because, well, you can take the rule of law and shove it. All this unleashed a tirade of criticism arguing that Rosenstein, having helped provide a cover story for Trump (which Trump himself then blew up), is too compromised to oversee the continuing FBI probe. This surely helped bring about the special counsel’s appointment — and Trump authored it.

No offense, but you're wrong.
Can't wait to see when the MSM catches up with the recent revelation that someone from the Trump team illegally copied Comey's files after he was fired AND gave them to Russian diplomats. US got the files back, by the way.
Crazy sh*t!

I have no doubt that more than a few paranoid Trump freaks share this sentiment. Just can't bear to see their fascist utopia crash and burn just after leaving the launch pad. I also have no doubt that their "civil war" will amount to several unfortunate minorities getting pummeled and killed by a few roving brigades of angry retards, who will then be put down by the National Guard.

look up the 'stabbed in the back' thesis as a cause for WW2 - it's scary stuff. basically a group of Germans felt that their generals surrendered too early in WW1...that sentiment led to Nazism and WW2. And that's why the allies refused to accept a surrender unless it was total. they did not want a bunch of nazis walking around saying 'if only we hadn't surrendered...'
I think I would be remiss if I didn't note, to Trump's everlasting credit, that he did say that we would win so much that we'd get tired of winning. Well he's right, if this is winning then I am definitely tired of it.
It seems as though Trump supporters are down to just a few arguments; Obama was worse (no evidence), biased media (Trump not bringing it on himself), institutional corruption in its death throes (surprised that there would be established government institutions for one of the World's oldest and best democracies). Nothing outside of specious conspiracy theories and reactive logic seem to be coming from the Alt Right.
I think the deplorables, like Disco Gary and Exthrower, are starting to see their dream of bringing back the old days through Trump starting to disintegrate. Rather than evolve (which by their nature they are incapable of doing), they are following the lead of Trump and trying to double down, i.e., threats of civil war, ready for action, blah, blah, blah.
When Trump goes down, his base will have been whittled down to around 25%, sure they'll be squeaky wheels but, the sooner they are marginalized the better.

I wonder if Trump somehow got proceeds from that mysterious sale of 19.5% of Rosneft earlier this year, possibly in exchange for reducing sanctions. Trump loves money - is motivated and moved by it. It's not like he's buddies with Putin for no reason. With Trump, follow the money. I think Kevin McCarthy's "failed joke" that Putin pays Trump is likely on target.

The "militia" made up guys like Exthrower and DFF is made up of over 90% clinically obese men and women, with many not having graduated from college. So they have lots of guns, great. They would wipe half of themselves away with friendly fire alone. Sure, they'd pick off some unfortunate minorities, but imagine these clowns retreating to the woods to regroup for the next attack. Many would die of asthma and the rest of the fat a$$es would deplete the food supply so quickly they would come crawling out for help within a couple of days. It is laughable to think these people believe in a successful resistance against the government or liberals.
In fact, I would pick any homosexual male in NYC, teach them to shoot a riffle, and let them loose on the militias. They are so fit they would run circles around these fat a$$es. People that even entertain the idea of militias being a threat are certified dimwits. But go on, I like to laugh.

You sound like one of those crazy Trumpettes who make stuff up. If you have a credible source to back up your story let's see it.
Trump unleashed two tweets Thursday morning responding to the news of the appointment, which was made by Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein after days of deafening criticism. Trump claimed: “With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel [sic, or perhaps more appropriately, sick] appointed!†He then added: “This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!â€
But, despite Trump’s suggestion that he is being victimized by a witch hunt, ... Trump’s actions leading up to this moment are rooted deep in Trump’s autocratic and authoritarian impulses; his total contempt for basic institutional processes; and his tendency, when his sense of grievance strikes, to slip into a delusional belief that he can overwhelm the institutional independence of his persecutors the way he might steamroll someone in a business deal.
Privately, Israeli intelligence officials are fuming, one of the U.S. officials said, having worried for months that Mr. Trump would expose state secrets, even unwittingly, because of his lack of experience in handling classified information and his propensity to shoot from the hip.
Wow, nice words. Did you think those up all by yourself?
Here's what's going to happen: nothing. Hysteria. Lunacy. Hatred. Pouting. Crying. Accusing. But nothing. Trump will be fine, and while his agenda will continue to be challenged and obstructed by Democrats, he'll make it work. And the liberals, who always think they're the smartest in the room (a room filled with liberals), will never 'get it.'
this explains fox and trumpers pretty well. Esp the parts about principled, complicated liberals.
“I created a TV network for people 55 to dead,†Ailes boasted to us. “Nobody believed it could be done, but I did it. It’s for guys who sit on their couch with the remote all day and night.†That seemed a condescending way to talk about his audience—not to mention, much of the Republican base—but it was fascinating anyway.
“And they don’t want to see anyone like you,†he continued, looking directly at me. I wasn’t sure whether he meant a liberal, or a brunette newswoman in a dark pantsuit. “They don’t want to see you — they don’t even want to know that you exist!†And he was obliging them: he’d created a world where women were blonde and wore short tight skirts, men were in charge, and articulate, principled, complicated liberals – especially women — didn’t exist.
"I tuned it out," said 44-year-old Michele Velardi, a mother of three sons, during a break from her job at a Staten Island hair salon. "I didn't want to be depressed. I don't want to feel that he's not doing what he said, so I just choose to not listen."
A few blocks away, die-hard Trump supporter Joseph Amodeo, 19, incorrectly praised the president for raising New York's minimum wage, something enacted by Democrats in the Legislature. The college student had little understanding of the Trump administration's deepening political struggles, but he offered a stern message to Trump's critics.
"If you're wishing for him to fail, you're basically wishing for the pilot of the plane to crash," Amodeo said. "You just gotta stick by him and hopefully he does things that benefit everyone."

Trump is and always has been a sleazy New York Real Estate salesman. A really clever salesman who promises frustrated people that he can solve all their problems can sell them practically anything. Normally the typical Trump voter would dislike rich sleazy NY Real estate salesmen who brag, lie and wear make-up...but they buy into his jive because they are desperate for change.

I'm sure this Amodeo character prayed for Obama's failure every single day. He, the hair salon employee and a good chunk of Staten Island should stock up on plenty of ice for the great butt hurting they are about to experience.😟😩😫😖😵😥ðŸ˜ðŸ¤•
If the memo story is true, Comey perjured himself. If it's not, we just have more disinformation.
Trump is a genius.
The hatred on this thread is palpable.
