Trump supports corrupt regimes, eg Russia and Saudi Arabia, because they line his pockets and the pockets of the people he cares about. I don’t support the Democrats, but I can’t support someone so blatently un-American. I guess some might say that acting in the interest of greed over all else is American. I don’t agree.
If you don’t vote Democratic than you are complicit. I am a socialist, and thus I detest the Democrats,, but not nearly as much as the Republicans. It is insanity not to support the lesser of two evils.
I agree for the most part. I think our system could not only benefit from a socialist structure (especially the high cost critical areas such as healthcare), but could vastly innovate it further. While this die hard capitalist attitude has given us stellar GDP over the years, it has also permanently widened the wealth gap and pushed the poor to much worse conditions and least them with very little access to good quality everything. They don’t know how different it could be so their demise doesn’t feel fatal and they lean on MSM and social media to guide their views of the problem. This is not sustainable and will eat into productivity and we (the average Joe not the wealthy) will have to deal with a massive class of poor, uneducated, skilless and worse of all disenfranchised citizens. This current admin specifically is 100% about ensuring the wealth and power gap accelerates as fast as possible. That is not debatable even.
The US is not ready for radical change, at least half the country doesn’t yet accept the basic idea of universal government funded healthcare as a good solution. At least as many view the government in a poor light and want limited involvement, instead of thinking of it as necessary and needing to be better equipped and to work for the people. The general attitude is that they can’t do anything right and that only leads to less voter involvement. More and more Americans want to stay home and no take part in anything political, they are just sick of it but don’t want to act. This is why I don’t hate Democrats, they still stand for getting on the right direction.
It is absolutely irrational to support the lesser of the two evils, but if you’re Republican you don’t agree with who that is. To me it was never a question, almost all rotten politicians don’t even come close to Trump’s record of operating unethically and in a destructive manner. Many politicians want to gain for themselves before the public, but they have been expected and held accountable to produce policies to help the country. How anyone can say Trump has done more for the people is actual insanity. Look at the nepotism, look at the 24/7 lying, look at the resistance to be transparent about his personal business dealings and to actually stay away from it. Look at his demeanor, divisiveness and constant fear tactics. The only thing I hear about is the economy, and we all know that 1) it was already good and he gave the rich and corporations an unnecessary tax break; and 2) he blew the roof off the deficit with completely unnecessary spending. While this obviously boosts output, it completely irresponsible and short-sighted. The fall will be that much steeper.
Still, at this point they will say Trump is better than any democrat or republican politician, proof of the total brainwashing that has taken place. I remember clearly how stupid Bush jr was, but my Trump is at a whole new level. 99% of his destructive behavior and decisions have been automatically forgiven because he gave a handout to the rich and sticks it to the libs. Congrats Trumpers.
