Moran. It was an open party. Set up by college kids with HS kids crashing it. An 18 year old can have sex with a willing 17 year old. Nether an 18 year old, nor a 17 year old, can sex with a willing 15 year old. ... RAPE is rape is rape ... it make no difference the closeness of the age range.
Unreal. All these girls getting gang-raped and not one told a friend or parent who would alert authorities? Swetnick makes it sound like a brothel, that’s how little anyone cared about what was happening.
I agree with Jake Tapper here (very rare):
JakeTapper calls out Avenatti concerning his new client, Swetnick.

First the New York Times and now Jake Tapper of CNN. Fake news until they aren't, right? You are not one to listen to about anything. Your credibility is nothing.

How old are you, kid? The drinking age was 18 back in those days. Try again.
Try again.
The drinking age in Maryland was 21 during Kavanaugh's entire High School career. He lied (or was mistaken) about that in his Fox interview.
Here's the exact truth...Brett Kavanaugh was born in 1965. The drinking age in Maryland was 18 from 1974 until 1982. In 1982 it was raised to 21 with a grandfather clause. In 1982, Kavanaugh was only 17 and was not grandfathered in. So, there were those under 21 while he was in high school who could buy beer, but it was always illegal for him to do so or to drink it unless in the presence of "parents, a spouse, or teachers"

I doubt it. I think Flake holds out and the vote never happens.
Flake will not vote for Kavanaugh unless there are further investigations. Collins seems to have confirmed the same thing. It is important to note they are saying no to Kavanaugh at this time. But if forced to vote on without further investigations they will not vote yes.
Collins is not on the committee (because Republicans chose zero women for the committee).
So if it doesn’t get out of committee, Collins doesn’t even have to vote on Kavanaugh.
Senate investigating FIFTH Brett Kavanaugh accuser who says woman was raped on a boat in Rhode Island
According to documents posted by Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Epstein, Kavanaugh was involved in an incident on a boat in a Newport, Rhode Island harbor.
“Senator Whitehouse received a call this morning from a Rhode Island constituent [unnamed] who made allegations regarding U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. [Unnamed] reported that early on a Sunday morning in August of 1985, a close acquaintance of the constituent was sexually assaulted by two heavily inebriated men she referred to at the time as Brett and Mark.”
Another accusation against Kavanaugh that he was asked about by Senate staffers this week: an alleged rape on a boat in Rhode Island in 1985. Kavanaugh denies.

McConell can still call for a floor vote, even with an unfavorable recommendation from the committee. But he would be very unlikely to do that unless he knows 100% that he has the votes. Without Flake, it all falls apart.

I came here to post that. It is the major game changer, if true.
This time it is a guy, and someone who claims he scuffled with Kavanaugh and Judge on a boat in 1985 hours after his female friend told him she was sexually assaulted on the boat.
It makes perfect sense that he wouldn't align Kavanuagh with the incident more than 30 years later, until seeing the high school picture, which is age-similar to the guy he's always had a mental image of. He also apparently remembered the names Brett and Mark.
Conservatives who have been mocking all the other incidents with female accusers have been notably silent about this one, on other forums.
If that guy came forward and gave a media account, it would be a complete game changer. No doubt the senate Republicans are determined to ignore him, and everything else.
Mark Judge hiding away at a beach house like a coward is the greatest testimony of all toward what the truth was with his pal Brett back in the early to mid '80s, if not beyond.
I have no idea why people are so reluctant to accept that a guy who was a lowlife creep at that age has advanced to this level, and now people who knew him then have come forward.
I just read Dr. Ford's opening statement that she will give tomorrow. It is very compelling and provides much greater detail than we have seen before. Her description of the attempted rape is quite vivid and believable.
One thing that has been bothering me is why she sent that initial memo to her congresswoman in the first place. She didn't want to go public. So why did she think it would do any good without a willingness to put her name out there?
The time line Dr. Ford gave in her testimony answers that question. When Dr. Ford wrote her congresswoman, Kavanaugh had not been picked yet, but Dr. Ford knew that he was on the short list. Apparently, Dr. Ford believed that her letter would be taken into consideration during the vetting process and might cause Kavanaugh to be passed over.
When Kavanaugh became the nominee she made it known that she still wanted to remain anonymous. Once the redacted version of the letter became public, reporters figured out who she was and that forced her hand.
Hold on. Now there's some speculation the GOP is intentionally pumping out false allegations, like the boating incident, in an attempt to make all of them look fraudulent. I certainly wouldn't put it past them:

What is telling is that the Senate immediately jump to hear these new allegations (4 & 5), while refusing to hear from women 2 & 3.
Even Fox News is looking on to the next potential nominee if Kavanaugh isn’t confirmed.
That was unthinkable a week ago.

That is likely based on a request from Trump. Get a trial ballon out. Wait for the nomination to blow up. And then throw red meat to their viewers. Vote Red. Vote Red. Vote Red. Vote Red.
Robespierre justice.
Anyone want to tell me now that I'm wrong that Kavanaugh won't be confirmed?
Just to be clear, I said this as soon as Avanetti announced he had someone who would make accusations...this was back on Sunday, and I will say it again...Kavanaugh will NOT be confirmed.

On the other "Kavanaugh" thread jamin has guaranteed that Ford will be a no show tomorrow.
