We're still at this because there is always something new to talk about.
Two weeks ago you had Manafort convicted, Cohen with a serious guilty plea that directly connected Trump, the owner of the National Enquirer and Trump's CFO getting immunity for testimony.
All related to fraud.
We are two months away from an election that will likely change the course of the presidency.
There have been so many major news events that would normally consume a news cycle for a year that are gone in a week.
Michael Flynn stepping down and then pleading guilty to lying to the FBI is huge but forgotten.
Comey being fired is huge but forgotten.
Remember when DACA was to expire in 6 months? That was a year ago and it isn't settled yet.
How about tax reform? It was just a cut, nothing reformed.
How about the denuclearization deal with North Korea? Nothing there.
Iran nuclear deal? We renegged and we have nothing.
Where is the new healthcare plan with that repeal and replace talk?
We had children taken from their parents at the border and not reunited.
Trump spent two hours alone with Putin with no American documentation.
Trump has strained relations with Europe while asking for Russia to be let back into the G8.
There are these crazy random tariffs threatening free markets.
NAFTA is being mangled.
And of course Trump refuses to interview with Mueller investigation.
Predicting things is fun but just discussing the current events is worthwhile.
Wow. If you don't mind, I'll interject some reality into this dolt-ish (but appreciated by the MSM, I'm sure) view of current political events. I'll rate each one of the "burger" scale that Van Jones started when the ludicrous "Russia collluuuuussion" hoax began. Remember, the rating is assigned to your thoughts here, not the topics themselves. The topics are important. Your thoughts on them are not.
Michael Flynn stepping down and then pleading guilty to lying to the FBI is huge but forgotten.
> The FBI agents (including Comey and McCabe) stated during testimony that they didn't think Flynn lied to them. You can find a lot of material about this. It is widely believed that his plea was due to “his [son's] role as chief of staff to his father at the Flynn Intel Group, a lobbying and consulting firm that worked for international and domestic clients.”
>> Nothingburger. Not Trump-related.
Comey being fired is huge but forgotten.
> The internal FBI investigation into Comey's actions show bias, misleading communications, and not following bureau protocol on several occasions. It was recommended that he be fired.
>> Nothingburger. Not an issue. Comey has been proven to be a liar and biased with his actions. I'm sure he'll be back to making lots of money for companies like Lockheed Martin, so don't feel bad for him personally, either.
Remember when DACA was to expire in 6 months? That was a year ago and it isn't settled yet.
> Both sides believe they can use it politically to their advantage. Dems, to appeal to those that think with their hearts. Trump, to appeal to those that have been asking for years, "Why the hell can't you (Congress) find a resolution on anything immigration-related?" and to use as potential leverage to get more wall funding.
>> Nuetral. I wish it were resolved myself, but since literally no one with the ability to do anything seems to care, we're all kind of screwed at the moment.
How about tax reform? It was just a cut, nothing reformed.
> I'm loving the tax cut.
>> Nothingburger. Thank you, Mr Trump and the Republicans.
How about the denuclearization deal with North Korea? Nothing there.
> What time table are we working to? The meeting was 4 months ago, and both sides seem to be committed to progress.
>> Nothingburger. Grow up and be patient. We're talking denuclearization here.
Iran nuclear deal? We renegged and we have nothing.
> As you could find in any Google search, the deal was widely criticized on both sides of the aisle, and was not productive. We gave them a lot of money, they could still develop nukes over the long haul. It was useless. We've initiated tougher sanctions on them, and they will be coming back to us willing to negotiate at some point.
>> Nothingburger. Again, be patient and let things play out. Did you expect Iran to not be an issue by now? If so, grow up, they'll always be a thorn in the world's side.
Where is the new healthcare plan with that repeal and replace talk?
> This was disappointing for sure. More so for Ryan and the Republicans that were claiming they'd repeal and replace for 7 years. So Trump gets in office, gives them the opportunity..... and they puke on themselves because they're just as much in the pocket of the health insurance lobby as the Dems.
>> Junior hamburger. Dissapointing. But now the Republicans need to be careful in their attack on health care, as no one believes them in this area now.
We had children taken from their parents at the border and not reunited.
> Sucks, but it is indeed the law. Oh, and of course, it happened under Obama as well (the original outrage pic was from 2014).
>> Junior hamburger again. Only because it's "not nice." But the folks were illegally crossing the boarder, of course.
Trump spent two hours alone with Putin with no American documentation.
> Is this a real issue? (No.)
>> Nothingburger.
Trump has strained relations with Europe while asking for Russia to be let back into the G8.
> Several European countries are now contributing more money to the UN and their own defense than they have ever before. They see we are serious about not being taken advantage of. This was an idea Trump campaigned on.
>> Nothingburger. Delivered on his promise.
There are these crazy random tariffs threatening free markets.
> Free markets? Are you serious? Every tarrif Trump has suggested is in response to tariffs/taxes/fees already put in place against the US product being imported into another country. The objective is to get the other country to lower/eliminate the tariffs that are already in place against us. You really don't get that?
>> Nothingburger.
NAFTA is being mangled.
> Mangled? US and Mexico just reached a deal that both sides have supposedly come away pleased with. US component percentage for autos was increased, a higher amount of US agriculture will be imported by Mexico, and several other renegotiations were completed. Bilateral deals will force other countries to come back to the US and renegotiate as well. This put huge pressure on China, of course, which is a very, very good thing.
>> Nothingburger. Canada will come to the table at some point. Be patient.
And of course Trump refuses to interview with Mueller investigation.
> Two weeks ago it was announced that WH Counsel spoke with Mueller's team for over 30 hours over the span of 9 months. All without attorney-client or executive privilege. If this isn't transparency, I don't know what is.
>> Nothingburger. Especially considering the overwhelming amount of evidence that continues to pour out regarding the DPJ/FBI conspiracy against the Trump campaign and subsequent presidency.
So, looks like you have a couple junior hamburgers (w/o cheese, mind you) in your long list of fake-outrage topics.
Nice try though. Maybe post more?
