(Cannot believe I forgot again!! There's just nothing of consequence happening, so it's hard to stay tuned into every burp and fart, you know? Life is so much more than "Trump"..... well, for those of us on this side- LOLOLOL!!)
Well, it's that time again. Yet another month goes by with unchanged status of Flagpole's Epic Flagpole streak. We're now at 2.5 years of him posting incessantly each day with nothing to show for it. That is unfrigginbelievable. Is there a way we can get a count on the actual number of posts that our pal has submitted from his first "Trump has ZERO chance!" proclamation up to today? It's been over 900 days.....averaging multiple posts per day..... I'd say 4000 posts.....
.....and to this day, there are still ZERO indictments of US citizens for colluuuuuussion related to the 2016 presidential election. Also ZERO indictments for obstruction of justice. WOW. And Mueller has stated that he doesn't even plan on indicting Trump! In the age of being able to review every email and every text people send, we still have ZERO indictments for the intent of the investigation. This isn't 30 years ago, where we had to track down paper evidence and waste months on the logistics of investigations. We can get to the hard evidence in no time.
On the topic indictments though, I hear the Manafort trial for supposedly committing tax fraud in the 2004-2013 time frame has been rough on the prosecutors thus far. Currently trying to paint him as "evil rich guy." The judge is having none of it though, multiple times reminding everyone that "being wealthy isn't a crime," and "...enough already, move on."
Also, anyone see that Tony Podesta and his associates are being put under investigation as well now? Remember that when Manafort was initially indicted, Podesta immediately stepped down from his lobbying firm. Of course the media didn't cover it, but it was clear he was wrapped up in the Manafort foreign dealings in the 2000s.
The Strzok testimony earlier this month was absolutely hilarious. Strange dude. I mean, wow. His body language was so strange. He wore so much anger and resentment on his sleeve. What a shameless actor he is though. Basically taking the "nothing I said actually means anything.....ever" position. It was great to see him called out for ruining two marriages while trying to portray an honest, ethical, noble FBI agent. LOL! He, Comey, and McCabe's efforts to paint themselves as ethical have failed miserably.
There's still more to come for him though, as IG Horowitz' testimony states that "he cannot say with confidence that there wasn't bias in several individual's decision making."
The Putin meeting was the climax of the month for the Libs. "Treasonous" and "Traitor" were thrown around by the most crazed (Brennan, Clapper, some of the MSM talking heads). But the fact of the matter nothing said at the meeting meets anything close to those definitions. These guys are extreme, Flagpole-esque butthurt. The strategically-timed indictments of more ghost Russians the Friday before the meeting was so predictable. Do our intelligence agencies really think we're that stupid? Don't ever try to force POTUS45 to do something again. It doesn't work with this dude.
Moving to topics that actually matter to most Americans, the economy continues to accelerate. Unemployment somehow continues to be at all time lows, especially for all of the minority groups. Blacks, Hispanics, Women..... all at all time lows. This is the most scary piece of data for Dems. Like Maher said, "bring on the recession" if that's what it takes to beat Trump.
The tariff negotiating tactic seems to be working (remember, this is a tactic the Left would historically be in favor of, as their former constituency was the labor/middle class/poor working class). The EU is now saying they'll lower their tariffs on most US products. China has also previously said that they're open to lowering many of theirs as well, and open US investment in China. Remember the goal here is to get the other countries to remove their tariffs against us, thereby making our products cheaper around the world. We have the leverage in most cases.
North Korea has shown progress in dismantling their nuclear sites.
The illegal immigration / family separation issue has died down a bit, as many realized it was political selective outrage.
Trump's RCP approval remains steady at 43.5 at the moment.
I'm still waiting on that big infrastructure bill that we were supposed to see a while back. Perhaps it'll be rolled out pre-midterms to use for select campaigns.
So another month ticks by with zero change, and only more frothing-at-the-mouth Liberal outrage from being so epicly butthurt.
Mueller isn't coming (his words).
The clown continues to be Flagpole (with no end in sight).
Current status of Flagpole's Flagpole Streak: 30+ months
