Agreed. Something like a tanking economy could definitely lead to his downfall.

First of all, he is the king of chaos, and from day to day we move from one fiasco to the next. Who knows what's going to happen between now and 11/20.
The midterms will be very interesting. The Right's strategy is apparently to use xenophobia. It's a very emotional issue, so it could work.

He so far has been able to weather every controversy, but we'll see if that changes. There's lots of things that could happen that could shake his support (the economy tanking being one of those things).
He himself has a reptilian skill of attaching to his core's base emotions. He can publicly collude with a Russian President, pretend he misspoke 24 hours later, then 24 hours after that, return to his original message of protecting Russian interests. He can't even keep a simple story straight for 24 hours. But, the same brain connects with a variety of human fears in a tweet or two.
When the economy cools, it's over for Trump. Maybe he's crazy lucky and it doesn't contract until after 2020.
Public service sure is lucrative these days!

Unless someone like Pocahontas is the nominee I don’t see how Trump wins in 2020. I think there’s going to be another Republican to challenge him in the primary. He barely beat a horrible candidate in 2016. He’s obviously in Putin’s pocket. Does anyone rally believe he meant to say “wouldn’t”?
There’s just too much smoke.

He could easily win. Something about the way humans are wired means we are predisposed to prefer fascism. As long as Trump sticks to his fascist ways, he could be a strong candidate.
Also remember, most people will vote their party regardless of how toxic the candidate may be. Roy Moore was almost elected to Congress if it weren't for a small block of occasional voters who showed up.

I'm pretty sure Cory Booker will win in 2020.
I don't know if that will make him the 46th or 47th president by that time.
No way he gets the nomination over Clinton.
No way Clinton is in the Primary. She's 0-2. She needs to quit. lol.

It turns out beloved far Right politician Scott Walker had meetings with Russia's newest celebrity, Mariia Butina. Boy she gets around!!!
Rumors are that Mitch McConnell accepted millions from a Russian Oligarch's shell company prior to the 2016 election. Good thing the oligarch has dual citizenship or that would have been trouble! Apparently, McConnell has some history of being involved in Congress' response to reports that Russians were influencing election politics in 2016. Nothing will likely come from this.
The more general conspiracy theory here is the thirst for Mueller's investigation to end is coming as much from some in Congress who fear they will be found to have accepted perfectly legal campaign contributions from Russian oligarchs.
Adam Schiff trolling the Republicans

Do you believe that Trump made verbal agreements with the Russians behind closed doors?
John Brennan, former CIA director, says that Russia almost definitely has a recording of the meeting. When asked if we also were likely to have bugged the meeting, Brennan was evasive.
To the extent that Trump said something damaging in the meeting, Putin will use it as further leverage against our president.

A developing story:
HABERMAN: “Russian authorities yesterday named several Americans who they want to question, who they claim were involved in Bill Browder’s ‘crimes,’ in their terms, including a former ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul. Does President Trump support that idea? Is he open to having U.S. officials questioned by Russia?”
SANDERS: “The president is going to meet with his team, and we’ll let you know when we have an announcement on that.”
HABERMAN: “[I]s that a topic that came up in their conversation? Did President Putin raise this with President Trump?”
SANDERS: “There was some conversation about it, but there wasn’t a commitment made on behalf of the United States. And the president will work with his team, and we’ll let you know if there’s an announcement on that front.”
Bill Browder is not a popular guy with Putin.
"The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media," Trump said. "I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more."
So, " implementing some of the many things discussed" sounds like they made verbal agreements.

He has lied throughout. Shocking development
None of those other Presidents kissed Putin's ass and agreed with Putin over US Intelligence. What is wrong with you?
More blowback from Helsinki, Trump calls capitulating to Putin "an incredible offer" Colluuusion?

Like the verbal agreements made with North Korea, there is nothing there.

there's no doubt the trump tower collusion-fest was taped by the russian intel agents who met with the entire top of trump's campaign org.
No doubt. Which could be what they are holding over trump's head.

Felt the same way when Obama screwed up, so I don't feel bad now Moran;)
Our situation today is that we have a President where no one knows if his loyalty lies with America or with another country.
That has never been the case with any other President.
Nice.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
