Maybe I'm way off base on this, but I'm not sure why (well...I know why) multiple Democratic senators are insisting that Kavanaugh's "not indicting a sitting president" statement makes him completely ineligible for the high court. From what I read he seems to think impeachment is a better answer if any wrongdoing is found. Seems fairly reasonable...if they are a criminal, kick them out of office first, then pursue any charges.

What? Because NO ONE is above the law. Kavanaugh believes sitting presidents should not be subject to investigation of any kind. So he essentially believes: Trump could murder the kids he separated from their parents and there is nothing anyone could do about it. That is the only reason Trump picked him over other candidates.
