This Supreme Court issue is a non-story. Kennedy ruled along pretty conservative lines and was appointed by Reagan. Trump will simply appoint another conservative judge. Whenever there’s an open seat Roe v Wade is always brought up to make news out of something that will NEVER happen.....even if you had 9 conservative judges. It’s settled. Move on.

And Obama would have simply appointed another liberal judge. I guess what happens depends on who's in Office, eh?
Of course. But there are still certain interpretations of the law, certain interpretations of the constitution that won’t be changed in our lifetime, or maybe any lifetime.
9 liberal judges on the court still won’t change the 2d amendment.
9 conservative judges on the court still won’t overturn Roe v Wade.
As far as 2018 goes......I think there will be a small shift in both the Senate and the House towards the Dems....but there’s simply more Dem seats up for grabs vs GOP so the GOP has more room to spare.
As far as 2016 goes.....I wonder how much buyers remorse there is in those rust belt states?
As far as 2020 goes....if Warren or Sanders is the nominee the Dems are screwed as Sanders is too socialist and Warren has too much baggage being a woman going up against an aging voting population. Dems need a white guy. Biden would be great choice. His creepiness is cancelled out by Trump’s. His age is cancelled out by Trump’s. Or there could be an unknown guy in the wings who will emerge after 2018, sort of like Obama’s “Hope and Change” message toppled Queen Clinton. Governors always make good candidates....but the Dems don’t have many of those running around either.
A lot also depends on what happens with Mueller and if Trump ever testifies, or if he ever releases his tax returns.
