If CA was in play, both candidates would have aggressively campaigned here and the turnout would have been huge in a highly Democratic state. HRC would have won the popular vote by even a greater margin.
Why would you say that? PA, OH, MI, and WI were in play but Hillary couldn't win those when she had to. C'mon guys. Concentrate. Put the hate aside and let some logic shine through. Trump did what he had to do to win. Hillary either did not, or could not do what she had to do. Logic tells us that if the rules were changed, then Trump would have changed what he did, and that Hillary probably would have failed even with the new rules.
Spin all you want on this thread, but don't fool yourselves.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda...didn't. You can't know if he would have won all those votes in a very traditionally liberal state if the rules were changed. You would come off better if you just either ignore the popular vote thing (because it makes us know it bothers you) or just mention who the president is. He won the election. That is crystal clear. He lost the popular vote. That is also crystal clear.
Trump will lose his legitimacy in the end when it is proven that he and/or his staff colluded with Russia to help him win. He will be the Ben Johnson of the Presidency.
DG, I honestly hope you find some peace somehow in a constructive way when Trump is no longer in office. Even if by some miracle he were to last 8 years in office with no legal or political consequences, the country as a whole is NOT moving toward a Trump vision. Don't kid yourself there. Every day old people die and young people become old enough to vote. Populism doesn't last. This era WILL be over at some point, and I predict sooner than later.
You seem to be the most bothered about this than anyone who posts here. Trump isn't YOU, brother. The president, no matter who he or she is, doesn't have the power to make you happy or sad or at least they shouldn't...not in this country at least. Drink your beer...play the guitar (or whatever you do for fun). As much as I don't like Trump because I think he's a horrible person and a criminal, his being in office can't really affect my happiness. Many of his policies suck, but so did some of the policies of Bush and Bush and Reagan and Clinton and Obama. I had happy times during all those presidencies, and I have had then since Trump has been in office. I have had 2 vacations already in 2018 and I have two more planned before the end of the year. I still play music every day. I still have money in the stock market that continues to grow over time as it did with all the other presidents.
You won't lose anything when Trump is no longer President. You need some Bobby McFerrin -- Don't Worry, Be Happy.
