You folks arguing about this insane child separation policy don't seem to have a clue as to Trump's real motivation here.
Here's a hint for you. Who is front and center for this official policy of child torture? Oh, that would be Jeff Sessions.
And who does Trump REALLY want to get rid of? Jeff Sessions again.
So who do you think is going to be the fall guy for Trump as he declares that he was NEVER behind this policy of systematic child abuse? Hmmmm . . . do I have to give you three guesses?
The idea is the brainchild of Stephen Miller--one of Trump's most trusted policy aides; and a known racist--, not Sessions--also a known racist.
In the real world this isn't heading down the path you think its heading down. A surrender by Trump would be if he stopped prosecuting illegals crossing the border and simply released them into the country, which is what previous admins were doing. It was the insistence that all law breakers be prosecuted that triggered this whole thing, not a desire to punish kids, but Libs will never know that. The rumor is that he is going to extend the amount of time that children can be held so that they don't HAVE to be taken away from their parents while they await their asylum status. Libs will not be getting what they want out of this, and as long as the border is enforced they can call it a victory as far as I'm concerned.
